in your house
I just rounded up some Yankees pics from a trip out there with my brother in 2010; All for kaykay around 5 this evening. I've got you, nanovapr, a few Les Paul pics for tonight too, don't forget to check out your welcome thread once you turn, there are a lot of nice pics in there for ya too.
Hey, Whiskey, with all these guitars pics around here, I kinda got music on the brain and when I saw your avatar (very cool btw) it reminded me of Bon Jovi's older song lyrics to "You Give Love A Bad Name" - ....shot through the heart....
Just stopping in for a sec. Will be back around 5 and 11. C-y'all.

For fans of LP, and Peter Frampton, the big news this last year was him being reuinited with his one of a kind old Les Paul. It went down in a 1980 cargo plane in flames (in Caracas, Venezuela), some local pulled it from the wreckage, and a guy had been playing it in hotel bars in Curaçao (former Dutch colony). Some guys recognized it, spent a year being able to buy it, and get it back to Frampton. It's been in major news stories, but if you are a fan, and can wade through about 40 pages of forum posts, you can watch it all unfold here.

This is a major Les Paul forum. The Dutch guy that found it spent a year on here, describing what was happening. The big-league 'corksniffers' were arguing back and forth about it: "No, the late '54 models had THIS PIECE of inlay crooked from the factory. Old Jerry (or whoever) had the routers set up wrong at Gibson for about 5 months, they fixed it in 1955."

About 3/4 of the way through, the guy that originally gave it to Frampton steps in, and says "Yes, that's it" (and describes his one-of-a-kind modifications he did before he gave it to Frampton). It's a fascinating story. Or, you can look for it on Youtube for the very short version.

I'm back but don't know for how long. My connection's been crappy all day. Still raining.

 Honestly...Fran...Honey...when does it not rain there? We're (in Kansas) heading for another dust bowl. You're welcome to send a bit of that rain our way. But...only at night. Otherwise I have to ride the motorcycle in it.
