no harm in postponing - people who joined on a sunday might not be able to join in on a monday when their anniversary rolls around, shifts also have a tendency to change ......
as long as they give us a time they'll be here that day, or at the latest, the following day that should be ok ....

That is what happened to me , I joined on a Sunday but the anniversary was Monday when I was at work so we set a time, and it worked out perfectly.

I'm for if they don't state that they will definitely be here, we just do an Avatar Event on their day. Even then if they don't show, we don't have a half a dozen or more people scheduling their day for a no show.

Its actually something that came together many years back. I use to always sign up for things as zero as my handle (taken from the Megaman X series). Quite often it was taken, so I switched to using zer0 (with the numerical 0 as the o). Then that became quite often used as well.

Finally one day while signing up for something (I can't even remember what) I had Simpsons on in the background, it was the episode where Homer said Doh-Ith so I decided to add it to my handle and haven't run into any issues using it.
