Hmmm, well that is kind of stinky of them. So, what do we do? It is so weird, they are there one minute and poof. Kind of like some evil gremlin is in there trying to torment us. heh!

I will try to figure out how to spot them, but I just going to keep on posting them anyway. I just have faery to do and what the heck is up with that? Why are people so friggen stingy with faery?

one way to avoid this is to move pics you like to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

in a way you can't blame people for stopping hot links. imagine you had a little website with some pics posted. now along comes the prevet gang hotlinking to your pics. that uses bandwith on your site and YOU have to pay for it.

Well, 1) It uses less bandwidth than a visit to the page containing the pic and 2) many of the sites don't have advertising anyway so they don't lose anything, and 3) they could put the pics on tinypic themselves and then the URL would be from there. If they are trying to generate ad revenue, I'd understand...maybe. They should do that with content and besides half of them use someone else's pics then "lock" them. Aren't you the one that recommends ad blockers and DNT+ ? Hmmm Tibby?

it got to be more involved than that, atty - with all the traffic ecf gets they still will not host pics above a certain size ......

slow connection users get these pics no matter where they are hosted - i'm a prime example

most of the ones previous to the next batch were done with tinypic. com. I just decided to use photobucket so I could do mass downloads.
