Sorry OP, can't help with your question and am looking for some help of my own. I recently stumbled across a site that sells pre built ss claptons and fused claptons, both wrapped coils and spools of the stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it and have not been able to find it again. If anyone can provide a link I would greatly appreciate it.
Does your browser not have a 'history'? You realize that what you are asking for is bordering on silly right?![]()

I've bought mkws ss316l clapton wire on a spool from Fasttech. Great price, actually cheaper than making your own Clapton wire, and works great for me. Fasttech has a large selection of premade Clapton, tiger, etc wire and even coils. The mkws Clapton wire is the only one I have experience of though.

I haven't really been interested in prebuilt coils, and in terms of wire I've only looked at the ss Clapton. I think I'll need to consider other wires as well (only in ss though as I exclusively use tc).I love Fasttech too, buy almost all my things from them - I just plan a little to allow for the shipping time. I didn't look there now though, while looking for those SS coils... Out of curiousity I took a look now and had a little challenge finding them, but I finally did. I think these are all they have, Claptons, Twisted, Hive etc.

Don't know how much work you are willing to do, but I just buy Clapton wire locally for 9 bucks per 15ft roll - and wrap my coils using one of these. It is really simple and effective.

I can testify to this (well, not that an authentic KK works well because I don't have one). The cheaper variants (at least) do have trouble with thinner wire. Clapton wire and 24ga is fine, possibly even 26ga, but anything thinner than that and the wire will easily wrap around itself.May I add something to your post? Take note that his are the original Kuro Koilers. DO BUY THAT, and NOT the cheaper clone, the Coil Master one! Why? The Kuro Koiler has a screw that works WONDERS, which the screw on the clone does NOT (the KK has a tall head straight edge screw while the CM has a low head round edge screw which does not control the wire as it should). The clone will give you GRIEF if you use thinner wires for some coils (maybe you want to use them for different coils, not just for the fat Claptons etc. and thicker wires). When wires are of the thinner types, they so easily wrap on top of each other using the clone, it just makes one heck of a mess and cause you lots of frustration. I first bought the clone, then the original. But, since the screws take an Allen key, and I did not have one that fit (and didn't get one with my Kuro Koiler set from FT), I had not tried it until now. Because of this post and newly arrived Allen keys, I just gave it a try with a thinner wire and it wrapped the most beautiful coil on my first try... GREAT!
Fasttech has now got a great kit too at $7.14, that comes with winding rods in 3.5, 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5 and 1mm and a Hex key!!!So typical that they got this just after I had got my 3 piece kit...
