I started off with a analog sized ecig, but I would always lose it somewhere and it got frustrating with the constant charging and refilling.
Then I moved up to something a bit larger, believe it was the inferno..still had the same issues really. Next was a lil cr123 mod with a carto and drip tip, enjoyed it for awhile even though people thought I was about to detonate a bomb. After that went back to analogs as I wasnt really happy with anything. This past december I got a lavatube and used a tank with it, but it felt like i was carrying around a pipe bomb, so I started looking for something else and found the itaste vv, for it's looks, ease of use, portability, decent battery life I think this will be my last mod. It doesn't hold that much liquid and the battery doesnt last forever, but I'm enjoying it and bought a backup so I can have one charging at all times.

I'd like to hear what mods you have and why you enjoy them.

I think there's a place for all the size mods. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to use 18650's in public, anyone who wants to ask what it is I am doing are more than welcome. With luck I will convert a few from the stinkies and save some lives in the process.

Its not a matter of being embarassed, and I can't even evoke "ashamed."

Its just that I don't feel like answering questions that invariably get asked. I'd rather just do what I need to do, people are nosy. Especially in the suburbs (neighbors).

For me it's all about battery life. A fully charged 1100mAh 18490/18500 won't quite last me a whole day vaping 3ml of juice at around 8W and 2A. I don't like having to carry around spare batteries (or having to charge batteries all the time), so anything less isn't really an option. For that reason, I prefer using 18650s whenever possible and that's what I'm using right now in a ProVari and a Silver Bullet. Love both of them, but for very different reasons.

I started on the Volt Smokless Image cigalikes. Within a couple of weeks I grew quite annoyed with needing to carry multiple batteries to last throughout the day, the short battery life, and limitations of the juice delivery devices that they can use.

My first mods were the above mechanical BB (black) and Silver Bullet (white), both from Altsmoke. The Silver Bullet is large and built like a tank but its 18650 battery can last all day and into the next. I can put a 7 ml cartotank on top which can last 2 - 3 days. The BB is small, short, and lightweight and is better suited for out-and-about use outside the home. The 14500 battery gives me up to 8 hours of use between charges.

Next I wanted to get into variable voltage, so I decided to get the best with a regular-size Provari with battery extension cap. In this formulation it can use the same 18650 battery that the Silver Bullet uses, so I am able to cut down on the different sizes of batteries I need to keep in supply. The Provari is the best investment I've made in my year of vaping.

Despite my extreme satisfaction with the Provari, there were times when its heft, weight, and size was not convenient for out-and-about and it was not extremely pocket-friendly. I experimented with various single and variable voltage gripper-style box mods for their lightweight, small form factor, pocket-friendliness, and stealth. Above are the Smoktech V-V Gripper, the V-V Segelei/Ovale V8, and the $16 Smoktech Gripper. The V-V Gripper uses an 18650 battery and the other two both use an 18350 battery, again limiting the size of batteries that I need down to two. All of the above gripper mods are inexpensive (less than $30).

Although the gripper box mods worked perfectly fine for their dedicated purpose, I found that quite often I still would grab the Provari when I would leave the house to run an errand...just because it feels so good in the hand and gives me a noticeably better vaping experience. I had always wanted a Mini Provari but felt that I couldn't justify the cost of having two Provari's. But come my 1 year anniversary being smoke-free, I decided to award myself with a new Mini, which has pretty much replaced the three gripper mods when I leave the house. The Mini also uses an 18350 battery. Between the two Provari's, they receive 95% of my vaping attention.

I have my first bottom feeder, a Vapage VMod XL, on order to see what my closest ECF friends are all about with these. I've been recommending bottom feeder mods to a lot of folks based on what I've read from owners, and those who took that advice have been quite satisfied and it has become their primary vaping device.

So that is my vaping history. When I first began vaping to quit smoking, I had no clue that I would end up with so many mod and tanks (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/baditude-albums-pictures-my-setup.html). Vaping has become a satisfying hobby and I have become a collector of sorts. I have no regrets with the purchases that I have made, and I've learned something new with each one.
