I feel a new PV in my near future. Have been checking out the Twist, the ITaste, and the Ovale. ITaste looks very convenient, totally cool, and has edged out the Twist. Now to decide between the other two.

I currently have a couple of KGOs and an Ego T that I stick in my pocket when I am cruising around, and a ProVari V2 I use mostly at home. There was a LavaTube in my past, but I sold it to a friend. ITaste looks more convenient, but I do like the external battery aspect of the Ovale. I noticed the Ovale uses 2 batteries...assume they are side to side? Is that a problem like the stacked batteries you see warnings about all the time?

Help me make up my mind...LOL.

I personally like the V8 (I won't call it an Ovale). I had the V6, and it was a great vape, and I love the design.

The iTaste is very new, and looks really interesting. I have some reservations though. It looks to be a great product, and very ambitious, but usually that means that there is an execution problem.

My suggestion is to wait for the reviews to come out. I hear that LordDavon will be reviewing both products, if everything works out. He is a great reviewer. I really like him. I feel very connected to him, and he seems familiar. ;) :ohmy:Also, RockinRobbie usually reviews the same types of products, and is one of the few reviewers that I watch. Give them both a subscribe, and you will be glad you did.

I had that same question bouncing around my head for a few days......problem solved I ordered both!!

My eGo-c pt 650's are at 2/3 of their life span on charges so I've been looking for a reason to pull the trigger on a real vv as opposed to the 3.3v or un-regulated bat voltage options of the C. It seems everyone that has/had a V6 loved it and the iTaste is pretty sweet looking with all the features I wish the eGo had at roughly the size of the eGo. The size of the eGo is why I went with it originally, not obnoxiously large. Both are relatively small, one can be palmed the other will pen clip in a pocket... decisions decisions

Not really interested in the itaste, seems too much like a novelty. The V8, on the other hand, seems really cool. I love the replaceable bats, but worry about the plastic build. Choices for me, right now, are either a vmod xl or the v8. I know they are not the same designs, but I am really curious about going to bottom feeding and getting rid of cartos and clearos and just going basic with a good atty.... Decisions for sure....
Between your two options, I would choose the v8 for sure.

The charge on the two 18350 batteries last a long time and hits like a freight train even at low voltages. The only drawback is the plastic case but I haven't dropped it yet and being as it a box mod it won't roll off the desk like all the others do. If you want a good VV at a great price the V8 would be my choice.

I couldn't agree more!! At 29.99 for just the mod its a steal. Even the 50.00 for the full kit is a great price IMO. Besides that, Eric is great to do business with. Get the V8, you won't regret it!!

Now that I've had a chance to use them both, I have to say that it comes down to your current items. Are you using a lot of LR items, if so, the V8 may not have a low enough power for those items. It uses PWM, and draws like it is a 3.8V-7V device. If everything you have is 2ohm or higher, go for it!

For all out performance across the voltage range of both devices the V8 wins but only if you are using SR or HR cartos/clearos/attys as LD said. The Itaste will handle a 4 ohm clearo at 5v as well as a 1.5 ohm carto at 3.3v-3.7v but the V8 hits like a freight train and it is hard to really directly compare the 2 as they are in a different class of devices.

The Tidy 10 clearos that come with the iTaste are good for 1 or 2 refills and they will start to leak. If you leave them sit without the condoms on the ends after filling they will empty themselves in a an hour or two. Once they start leaking and you try to use them they will leak out the connector and actually percolate a good amount of juice up the draw tube. As best as I can tell the fill hole seeps air into the tube allowing the juice to drain because the silicone material isn't thick enough to keep making the air seal after it's had a needle through it a couple of times. I am using the small blunt needles that came with my CE3's. I verified this by drawing through the mouthpiece while holding a filled Tidy 10 upside down I could see air bubbling up through the fill hole and it stopped bubbling when i stopped drawing. This shouldn't happen on a venturi feed CE3 type of design.

The iTaste adapter needs to be shorter, imo it is larger than it needs to be, or a longer cap is needed so they can put a clearo on it with a proper seal. The iTaste itself so far is a very nice looking well functioning unit that would be fantastic if the clearos were better. I wouldn't mind trying out the Atomizer/Tank cartidge that is available for it, as it is the Tidy 10's are basically tossers.

Eric, could you see if the Elips charging cable will work on the iTaste? if yes I want one.
