I'm really curious to know what other VV fans are using with their juices. Currently I'm using the mini nova and I really like it because it's reliable. It hasn't leaked on me (I've used the stardust clearo and it leaked--although it delivered IMO better flavor).

I'm hesitant to try any other clearo because of the success I've been having with my mini nova. The only downfall is the muted flavor which I am getting adjusted to. I am always open to improvement though :D.

What clearos have you tried and what were the pros and cons to them and which one is your favorite?

I'll give it a shot. These are my experiences and your mileage may vary.
TOP COIL
SplitFire
The SplitFire is a 3ml top coil clearomizer tank with replaceable heads and double chambers. The top coil is in the top chamber while the juice is in the bottom chamber. The two chambers are separated by a metal, double threaded "washer", if you will. This "washer" has four holes through which the four wick strands coming from the coil go through to reach the juice in the bottom chamber. Here's a picture: http://www.gotvapes.com/images/splitfire_1.png

Pros: Fantastic taste and vapor, no leaks. Really cool looking and easy to disassemble, refill and clean. This is my favorite as far as vapor and taste but see the cons below.
Cons: Replacing the head means you have to thread the four wicks through the holes. Replacement heads come with plastic caps at the wick ends, like shoe laces, and are easy to insert. But if these plastic caps fall off, it can be difficult to insert the wicks through the holes. Since you have two tubes, upper and lower, sometimes you can unscrew the other tube instead, not a big problem but it can take a little practice to get it right. When refilling, you unscrew the middle metal "washer" (divider may be a better word) from the bottom tube and thus you pull the four wicks out of the bottom tube. The wicks will be wet with juice and can be a bit messy. The plastic tubes although strong are not the strongest plastic (I forget the name of the plastic) and can crack under some juices.

Vivi Nova
This is a 3.5ml top coil clearomizer tank with replaceable heads in a single chamber. It has threaded top and bottom caps that can be unscrewed from the tube. To refill you unscrew the top cap and just refill with dropper or anything. I've just poured juice into it from a bottle. Screw the top cap back on and you're good to go. To clean and dry burn or to replace the head, unscrew the tube from the bottom cap to expose the vent tube with the head on top. The head can be unscrewed from the vent tube and a new one screwed on. The mini version of the Vivi Nova is not as easy to fill but otherwise performs very much like its bigger version as it uses the same heads.

Pros: Excellent taste and vapor, no leaks. The taste may be a bit muted compared to the SplitFire but not bad at all. I use this regularly because of its ease of use. Easy to refill, clean, dry burn and replace heads.
Cons: The plastic tubes although strong are not the strongest plastic (I forget the name of the plastic) and can crack under some juices.

Smoktech Titan
Very large, about 5ml I think, top coil clearomizer tank very similar to the Vivi Nova design, no leaks. Comes apart like the Vivi Nova.
Pros: Excellent taste and vapor, as easy as the Vivi Nova to refill, clean, dry burn and replace heads. It comes with the sturdier plastic (smokey in appearance, not transparent like the Vivi Nova) and can withstand stronger juices without cracking. The threads on the tube are metal not plastic. I use this regularly although I haven't tried it yet with VV juices since I am tasting new juices and the 5ml capacity means commitment to the juice. I will try Kona Coffee Milkshake on it soon. I expect an excellent vape with VV juices. Here is a picture: http://www.gotvapes.com/images/titansmok_1.png
Cons: Because of its large capacity and the type of juice, juice may become slightly burned and change color towards the last half or third of the tank.

BOTTOM COIL
The bottom coils I have tried are the T3, Vapeonly, Smoktech Shorty, Phoenix Bottom Coil, and the Nano. The EVOD is coming. I would recommend the T3 and the Nano. From everything I have read the EVOD will be a winner too. I will stop here since this has become quite a long post and I don't think bottom coils are completely hassle free like the Titan, and (mini) Vivi Novas (just my opinion, many love them to death), except the Nano which is pretty much hassle free once you go through a tankful or so to clear the primer, but the T3, Vapeonly, Phoenix, Nano, and EVOD can all be excellent. The only one I would not recommend is the Shorty because the wicking material can burn and you end up inhaling that (it has some kind of mesh like a carto, not silica wicks like all the others). The Phoenix requires a syringe to refill and can be a hassle (for me it is).

Oh wow thanks for the reviews on those products orbach, that's very helpful. I have spent a lot of money on clearos, especially the stardust because I loved it's vapor production and it's ease of use at first. I found it is quick to die because it cannot be cleaned properly and it leaks badly.

Since I spent a bit of money on those and it was a waste and I now changed to the mini nova (I have 1 well performing unit) and I am satisfied I don't want to purchase products just to try and realize they suck either because they leak or mute the juice or whatever. I have learned to deal with the mini novas muted flavor but I am always open to improving my vaping. Especially with Annettes juices since they are perfect and I want to find the perfect one to deliver her flavor well and also to find one that's as hasslefree as can be.

I'm not having any problems with my mini nova at all with VV juice and vaping in general. It produces a great amount of vapor, good hit, and it doesn't leak at all, it's cleanable and rebuildable. The only con I have is it mutes flavors but I am quickly learning to work around that by purchasing flavors that are strong and prominent and combining them with other strong prominent flavors to create a vape that has very prominent identifiable flavors.

The SpitFire has my attention though. It seems a bit intimidating since replacing the heads looks like a daunting task but you've explained it has better flavor--less muting than the nova--and that is the only downfall I am finding with my mini nova so if I can learn the routine of replacing the heads to the SpitFire I might like that better as you said it has basically all of the pros of the nova (ie: no leaking, easly to disassemble and clean). I am not too worried about the messiness or cleaning as the process of cleaning my mini nova is somewhat in-depth already and not a bother to me. The SpitFire also has a similar size tank to the mini nova so not too serious of a dedication to one flavor.

The Titan looks awesome as well. And since you've stated it has great flavor and less muting I will give it a go. The 5ML and the size puts me off a bit but having one to try out especially if it is a good one is definitely worth the buy. I also like that it has the sturder plastic. I know the Nova has the metal tank available for harsher juices to eliminate that problem but the only problem I found with that is I can't see the juice level and that's important to me. Also having a 5ml tank to carry around for long trips isn't always a bad thing so knowing there is a good quality 5ml one out there is a plus and definitely worth the buy.

I've only bought one mini nova so far just because I threw a bunch of money into quite a few original stardusts (not to mention countless other products--I just want to cut to the chase :p) and they all ended up failing on me. I was considering buying a few more mini novas just to have a nice selection of juices to carry around with me.

I'm going to give the SpitFire a try before I settle on my nova as being the best since I really do just want the perfect delivery system.

Thanks so much for your reviews they were so helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to type that all out and explain it for me. I really was hoping for an indepth response about preferred clearos and yours was very helpful!

If anyone else wants to review their favorites I am always open to trying new ones to better my vaping experience. :)

Thanks guys <3. Also sorry for the long read! LOL

I wonder about the "stardust" name...When I was searching for replacement heads for my V3 I stumbled into a vaper web site that claimed "stardust" was licensed to his business & was not to be used without his express permission (?) I can't find it now of course to post the link... There are so many knock off's of the Visions clearomizers...

I Love the V3 http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1206&category_id=39 replaceable coil head http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1234&category_id=39

Over the disposable V2 http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1156&category_id=39

The V3 you can buy new tubes, bases, tips etc as you need them for a few bucks vs throwing away your money away on a burned on V2.
I also greatly prefer the authentic Vision line over the knock off's that I was getting at our local shop. I didn't realize it until I left him & went on line & shopped. I wished VV carried these...I hate shopping all over the place and VV has my loyalty on the Juice...no questios!!

I haven't tried any of the "brands" Orbach mentions above except the Nano http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1541&category_id=39 (I really wanted to try bottom feed coils). It is also a great "Visions" clearomizer in a very small size. I think it's perfect for "sampling" & "rotating" flavors. It's disposable so when it's done, it's done. I am hoping Annette decides to add these to her inventory...I started a begging thread :)

After experiencing the bottom feed...I may try the Kanger next. I am always in search if the most fuss free, mess free delivery devices. The Mini Nova just doesn't do it for me. Some of the cartomizers are so big & ugly & I really hate the "manly" whistle tips on some of them.

It has been a long time since I tried "tank" style cartomizer like the DCT but this one interests me as well... http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1586&category_id=21 I suck at filing carto's

Happy hunting!

I <3 my mini vivi nova because every other clearomizer I've used has had leaking/gurgling problems.
user error maybe but never had the same problem w/ the vivi nova so if it aint broke dont fix it :)

The evod is nice but I've been somehow managing to get liquid in the atty
and the other two, mt3 and stardust/vision both leaked. actually one of the stardusts I bought leaked the other one didn't. go figure

I want to try those vision nanos though just because they're cute.

OH I forgot my all time favorite clearo was the LED one from the vapor girl. actually I think
virgin vapor sells the same model just w/out the led
it was really great at producing good flavor/vapor.
but the damn thing was tempermental and it wouldn't work if you screwed it on all the way or accidently put the driptip in too far.
and after a week or two the pink led was like a strobe light, very distracting :)

ok well I guess this is a cartomizer? but w/e

I do fine with your condom fill method...I suck at refils & topping off....so messy & gurglie...I love the vape though....might be time to try the carto tank again....been a long time, I am sure that they have improved like everything else...saw an interesting new mini...posted above. You told me once which one you used...can't remember...Dcct?

I am currently using a Vivi Nova but am not terribly impressed with it on lighter flavors...it mutes them & makes them almost flavorless. My new Triple V Sidewinder carto tank will be here either today or tomorrow & the Vivi will be put into a backup role only. Since I use 100% VG, I will probably double punch my cartos for the tank but we will have to see when it gets here.

I'm just finishing the second tank of KCM on my new Kanger EVOD and it is vaping quite good. If it keeps vaping like this it will become one of my favorite medium size clearo, although I wouldn't give up the mini Vivi Nova for it. The Evod is a bottom coil and my experience has been bottom coils tend to get gurgly over time. So far, no leaks or gurgling and great taste and vapor.

Edit: Cherrycakes, the EVOD does have little room for refilling but if you're careful you can avoid getting juice in the air tube. The small dropper from the sampler bottles is perfect, but I use the biggest droppers without issues. Just rest the tip on the side of the tube to get the juice to "adhere" to the tube. Add a couple of drops until the juice starts going down past the mouth of the air tube. Once this happens, capillary action will "pull" the juice along the already traveled path and avoids juice "piling" up at the mouth of the air tube.

My favorite with my limited experience is the GS Vcore 2.0 made by Green Sound. It is similar to the splitfire. I haven't changed wicks yet, but I understand there is a sewing tool that is helpful in threading the wicks through the holes. These things have never leaked nor gurgled and the flavor is close to dripping.

I have had bad luck with vivi novas. They all gurgle and get an occasional dry hit. I have two that leaked right out of the box. Of the four I have, the two worst ones are the Vision brand. Odd that the one that works the best I got off Amazon, it's a knock off that doesn't even say vivi nova on the tank.

I never screw them in all the way, I stop as soon as they make contact. Screwing them all the way can push the battery's center post down, depending on the type of battery.

I love the evod but the threading keeps getting stuck on the battery! I have to get my husband to get it, maybe I should take wd-40 to it or something.

That Vcore 2.0 looks interesting, I'll try it. Weird about the vivis. My regular one and the mini vivi have worked perfectly for me.

I just purchased the VisionC5 and also the Kanger T3. I am excited to see the difference between them and the mini nova. I will note though, that my mini nova has been going strong and reliably for about a month now!

I noticed the maple french toast gunks up my mini nova so I am hoping I can use one of these successfully with my maple since it's one of my favorites.

So I've exclusively switched to the Kanger T3 for the past couple days and I have to say I really am liking it a lot. A little more airy but it produces a nice amount of vapor and I've been vaping the Death by Chocolate in it which is very very muted in my mini nova but still a favorite. I have to say the T3 kicks up the flavor of the Death by Chocolate perfectly. More flavor same amount of vapor (it needs to be vaped on a lower setting even for the same ohm-age) but it makes Death by Chocolate more divine (if that's even imaginable). The T3 is definitely a favorite I think it's perfect for Annettes VG juices. I'd also like to note that it doesn't leak at all YAY!!!! You can buy replaceable heads for around the same price as the mini novas. Definitely a worthy buy and enhances VVs juices if you're noticing muting with your mini nova. The two are very similar but the T3 gives a stronger flavor (very pure with the death by chocolate) it doesn't even have a weird alcohol or burn so it's like the perfect mute/flavor deliciousness.

The Stardust CE5 rebuildable I put my Maple French Toast in because my Maple clogs up my mini nova even if I clean it after every refill. The maple IMO is just too thick. The original vision stardust non rebuildable worked really well with my maple so I bought a CE5 rebuildable exclusively for my maple. It hasn't clogged up (as expected) but it also leaks just like the old stardust clearos. It definitely is worth it for the thicker juices. It's going to be my clearo for maple definitely despite it's leaking. It doesn't completely flood which is a plus and it's rebuildable and dryburn-able.

I would LOVE to see VV carry the T3 and a vision rebuildable. Each flavor seems to have a specific uniqueness that certain clearos either bring out the flavor or work better with.

So far I have to say my favorite is the Kanger T3 though. The flavor + vapor + reliability/non-leaking is just the perfect combination. It seems to mute the alcohol and strong flavors that are undesirable in VV juices so it just seems to bring out the pure flavors.

I was hesitant to try the two because the mini nova was working really well for me but it definitely offers some improvements on my favorite flavors. It was a good gamble I'd say =D.

I really love the bottom feeds as well. Perhaps the lack of strings eliminates the nasty juice burning taste.

The Nano was my test run on the bottom feeds before I go full on to the Kanger...are they easy to clean?

I have 6-8 Visions V3's so it is going to be a while building up enoug Kangers to satisfy my flavor rotational needs. :)
