I've been using prefilled, but I ordered a couple of flavors to try when my cartos ran dry. I got Banana and Cappuccino. I don't really care for the banana, but the cappuccino is the bomb. The problem is I still have 3 5-packs of prefilled cartomizers and I just tried one and it tastes pretty foul now lol. I guess I'm hooked on the Cappuccino . Can I just boil them out and start over? I hate to, but man...

After trying the reverse Taryn spin , you can also try , blowing , fairly hard , into the mouthpiece , to force out any other juice . You may also , want to stay with juices , in the same family . Fruit juice , stay with fruit types , tobacco's , stay with tobacco's , etc . Like Swedishfish said , they usually don't work as well , after flushing with water . But their cheap . So give it a go . You might also want to try some of the ce-2's or g-4's . They are real easy to clean . So switching flavors , won't be as difficult .

That's the one reason why I don't buy pre-filled cartos. I did it one time and that was the last time. I was, however, able to salvage my cartos by using the sink hose, hot water method (by running hot water down the carto for 30 secs, then blowing really hard, repeat until carto is dry and has no smell). Submerging them in boiling hot water also worked for me. There are some invaluable threads on ECF about cleaning cartos, I don't recall them off the top of my head so you may want to do a search. That's how I found out about the methods I described.

Can you sell them? Isn't there a classified section here somewhere?

Bright side is, blank cartos usually cost the same as prefilled, so you'd be dumping out free liquid anyway, that you don't like anymore. They may not be as good as new after cleaning, but good enough to get your vape on, at least once. Try to find the gentlest cleaning method possible (like soaking in vodka overnight, boiling, etc.). I tried the oral syringe method once, and screwed up like 20 of them. I tried shaking them vigorously in vodka/water too, which got them clean, but they didn't perform so well. Looking into an ultrasonic cleaner now (supposed to be "gentle but thorough").

Thanks for the input, guys. As soon as the flavor starts tasting "off", I switched to a new carto. When I got the Cappuccino, I just refilled one of the used cartos without washing it out or anything. Keeping it topped off worked fine for 3 or 4 days, then I started getting the off taste. I used the rinsing it out with hot water in the sink method and it worked just fine

I guess I really have lost my taste for tobacco flavored juice. It never really tasted like cigarettes to begin with, and I love the Cappuccino, which is weird because I'm not even a coffee drinker

I just ordered more juice, I guess I'll just rinse out the prefilled cartos as the old ones go bad. I never was a heavy smoker, except when I was driving a truck, so topping the carto off a couple times a day is no big deal.

Slowly but surely, I'm learning :vapor:

That whole tobacco taste thing lasted all of five days for me. I even bought tobacco-ey joose and ended up giving it away. My favorite flavor right now is Blueberry Cheesecake. Who woulda thunk it? So I guess we're both officially off analogs now, right?
