Hi everyone :)
I am only about 6 weeks and am just wondering if there is any others out there pregnant and what have u experienced. So far I noticed my juice that I love I now hate and the ones I hated I now love lol. But am sure this will change as I go.

First of all. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Oh boy, I wonder what responses you may get on this. Be prepared that there may be some that might think vaping and pregnancy might not be a good idea. Have you asked your doctor if it was ok?

I will not judge what you do. When I was having kids, it was still ok to smoke while pregnant. Heck, I smoked in my room at the hospital. I just wanted you to be prepared. :)

I LOVED being pregnant. What a marvelous feeling! Is this your first? I'm sure your tastes will change a lot LOL. When I was pregnant with my first, I couldn't stand chocolate. Before getting pregnant, I loved chocolate. I still don't like chocolate and she is now 33. (that's her oldest daughter in my avatar with me). The funny thing is, she doesn't like chocolate!

Again congrats!!!
Edit to add: I see it has started. :(

Effects of Nicotine on a Developing Fetus | eHow.com

Read up, please please do not use any nicotine, vaping is not really any better than cigs when it comes to your unborn =(

Umm this talks mostly about smoking. This is not separating the difference between the smoking and JUST nicotine. It is lumped together. We all know that smoking is bad for the fetus. No question or argument there. I really can't see where even vaping a very low mg would be bad since there is nic in natural foods. I'm pretty sure that there are no studies out on vaping and pregnancy.

When you inhale smoke, the smoke doesnt go into the babies lungs. The primary effect is that of the chemicals in your blood stream, the primary one being NICOTINE.

What foods are you eating that contain nicotine?!?

Potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, cauliflower you know staples of a healthy diet.

You might not be aware but there are roughly 2000 other chemicals inhaled through the lungs and absorbed into the bloodstream when smoking a cigarette.

Nicotine by itself hasnt been found to be all that harmful. Its the act of combustion and the other toxins that vaping eliminates, hence the words "harm reduction"

Everyone seems to be pointing the finger here. She needs to ask her doctor, that is all.

I'm only seeing one person pointing a finger, the rest of us are being reasonable.

being pregnant doesn't suddenly make it easier to quit smoking, and most of us are here because it took vaping to stop.

Yeah, I've heard this advice given a time or two.

I have never heard that. With the amount of doctors in my family i have heard plenty of horror stories of babies that are born and put on respirators due to weak arteries and underdeveloped lungs. The only thing close to this advice i know of, is for extremely heavy smokers where the fetus is likely addicted from the start, to wean slowly off with the intention of being completely smoke free by the end of the first trimester.

I think with anything you need to take care when pregnant.

Saying that, my partner and I have had 2 kids and through both pregnancy's she smoked.
I'm not saying go and vape freely, but in today's society we tend to take things to the extreme.
Just be aware of what you're doing and set yourself a level to stick at. At the end of the day it's got to be better than smoking normal cigs, and it's probably better to vape in small quantities than to go cold turkey and put strain on you and the baby - I'm no doctor though so don't take my word for it.

Nictone HAS been proven harmful to a fetus. It effects your arteries which in turn can affect the supply of oxygen to the fetus, resulting in underdevelopment.

Its measure in NG, its such a low trace amount that you could get that from secondhand smoke just walking down the street. This is not comparable at all to the effects of smoking cigarettes or vaping

The question was asked what foods contain nicotine, the link was the answer. Nothing more, nothing less.
