A mostly positive article on the controversial topic of pregnant women and vaping. In this story, the woman used e-cigs to get to zero nic within the first trimester and continues to use the zero nic vape to satisfy the habitual aspects of smoking addiction.

And why is it a controversial subject ?, its perfectly legal for a pregnant woman to smoke cigarettes.
Its about time people put a focus back onto 'real' taboos and dismissed some of the '"well, I'm not sure-but it doesn't seem right"' style of 'pseudo-taboo' that seem to be all around us ATM. - rant over

Good on her for not being afraid to 'lead by example' , I'll bet there are countless other woman out there who have had second thoughts about vaping (nic-or nic free) in case 'others' frown on them.

Someone in here even put up a post recently 'do you vape in front of your family'

Very interesting topic, will be interesting to see what the science bears out on this. This could be another public health victory for vaping, sure people might not SEE pregnant women smoking but if they are really addicted they are gonna do what they have to in the privacy of their own homes.

Something interesting occurred to me while I was reading your comment above...

There are many things that were once VERY MUCH taboo that are no longer really taboo at all anymore...
--open homosexuality
--tattoos and piercings
--glorifying murder in mainstream music
--glorifying drugs in mainstream music
--glorifying sex in mainstread music
--making sex tapes
--pornography

And they are coming after us because we LOOK like we are smoking?
REALLY?

Obviously something is very wrong with this picture.
There clearly has to be other factors at play in all of this.

It says a lot, and I'm sure will assist to allay fears and concerns about vaping.
That young woman has shown clear thought and bravery to have her identity shown this way, and it's clear that the health of her baby is paramount-to the extent that she has reduced to zero nicotine liquid.

People have been shouting from the rooftops that vaping is 'orders of magnitude safer' than smoking traditional cigarettes-I believe they are-4 years and counting-if any female member of my family fell pregnant and was a smoker the first thing I'd do would be to buy them a starter kit (a decent one of course-not one of those sh.......-I'll stop there)

You have to remember that these fanatics are NOT reasonable, or logical, or objective, or very much concerned with anything but their own personal crusade. I'm sure they'd give a passing tsk-tsk but not much else on hearing of the damage to society from alcohol abuse, drug abuse, crime, corruption, disease, war or famine. They don't care if you've suffered any of the above, only if you've been exposed to thirdhand smoke. They will never doff their blinkers but will expend all energy on their Great Satans, tobacco and nicotine.
