I edited my post to help guide you down the path a little bit towards discovering current capacity and amperage as a concept...

I totally forgot, you are soooooo right. My custom ordered V4L 3.7 volt 500 amp battery I've been using has been blowing my carts. Thank you for showing me the path.

What were you all using them on? That was not stated.

Regular cartos are recommended for the 5v PT, right?
Well, actually the store site does not indicate it, but yes, you really should use
the LR cartos on 3.7 batteries, and the HV cartos above 4 volts.

I have a feeling PTs were designed for sale because the HV cartos could handle them, and I have a different feeling that the LR cartos were designed for sale because many people had batteries with less than 4.3 volts.

How do I know which of my batteries are what volt? I didn't think I needed to worry about it. Haven't had anything go wrong yet, so keeping my fingers crossed. Sorry to OP for off topic I have 2 manual shorts and 3 of the longs (3 1/4 inches). I get my new order today, ordered 2 XL batteries (not the new ones) and they are freaking 4 and 1/4 inches long! Ackkk! Are the new ones that long? When I ordered my 3rd XL battery it came as 3 and 1/4 inch! What are these monsters I got today?

I bet I do... But it'd just start another round that I have neither patience nor energy nor time for. The regular batteries are 1.00Wh / 3C batteries. V4L - I have the sneaking suspicion that is leading to what Chris and I spoke of on the call. I think that right there is enough to make him go "aha!" if he also knows the resistance of the premium and wow cartos...
Brooke, as far as volts, the V4Ls are around 3.7, or at least should be.

Adrenalynn, 1000mah ?? Or what do you mean divided by 3C batteries, that they accidentally wired some parallel instead of series?

(Powerful batteries are indeed shrinking, I'm using one of the new hi-tech, other manufacturer, 1300mah on my v4l cartos, and everything, the last time I charged it was 2 nights ago and still working.)edit to add- Actually they may not be shrinking, but they're making short, high-mah ecig betteries available

I've been using premiums exclusively since they came out. When I switched to prems I switched to 3.7 volts...for awhile. I still preferred my PT so much that I went back to 5 volts. I vape prems on my PT all the time and never have a problem.

I recently got a Buzz and I'm loving it. The thing has adjustable voltage and I've got it at 4.5 volts right now and it is the perfect combo of big hits without overpowering the cartos. Of course it sucks up juice like crazy, but that is where the big hits are coming from.

Anyway, I have never had problems running premiums in the 5 volt range. Any higher and the hits are too hot and too short, but 5 volts works great. I'm at a loss when people say 5 volts is too much for premiums, even if I'm preferring them right now at a solid 4.5.

As to the other electrical aspects, wattage and etc, I don't know enough about that - I just know my Buzz is outperforming even my PT at approx 4.5 volts with V4L premium cartos.

Are the WOW's premiums? I just opened a package of peppermint wows that I ordered last week and 2 of them don't work. One just makes noises when I suck on it, but the led on the battery won't light up. I think I am sucking the juice out of this one I'm sucking so hard. The other one would get really really hot and tasted burnt but didn't put out much vapor. I checked the hole in the center and it was not open....

I reversed Taryn spinned the liquid out and put it in an old pep ice cream cart...it was good! Turns out, the element wire inside was not connected on the bottom and the loose end was burning filler on the side. So....I am down 2 already in one box...and afraid to try a third one.

On the blank page there are two choices. One says 'slightly longer & cooler'. Are those the WoW's or the premiums?

I couldn't find the black & pick of the new ones (ordered those last week - no probs) Which ones were those?

I think you are refering to the Premium blank. What makes that WOW is the juice, not the cartomizer.

THe slightly longer ones are the CoolCarts. Cool Carts are slightly higher resistance than the Premiums, and runa t a slightly lower temperature.

I really, really like the new CoolCarts. Out of the 10 new ones I got about 2 weeks ago or so, 6 haven't even been used yet, and the four I have been using are still going strong refill after refill after refill. One of them got a little gunked up, so I rinsed it with rubbing alcohol and then flushed with water and it's as good as new again. Hands down the best cartos I have ever used.

Be careful with rinsing with rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol can cause major problems if ingested. I'd suggest rinsing with just hot water, or if you feel you must use alcohol, use pure grain alcohol or cheap vodka. I know you said you flushed with water, but in my opinion, it's too risky in that there might still have been some alcohol pocket left inside.

That was my first thought upon reading it too, Darri. Rubbing alcohol can be pretty nasty stuff in concentrations that you'd see in rinsing. I contend cleaning a battery with it is fine because it evaporates off the metal almost instantly, but inside that batting there's not enough exposed surface area.

I was just going to let it go since I'm not feeling all that magnanimous at the moment (;)), but since you brought it up...

I just bought this to clean my cartos and it costs about the same as a mid priced vodka ($16).......
Yes it's "drinkable" but I won't take that chance........... YET! :toast:

This is not drinkable as is. This is used in Poland and Russia and many other European countries to make homemade alcoholic brews/beverages, but this is the equivalent of 100 mg/ml nicotine. It has to be diluted.

Trust me on this one.:toast:

I believe you!

It's not "rubbing alcohol" and I bought it in a liquor store so it must be "drinkable", right?

I've had so many premiums all together that I can't count. I lose some, and some die. Of those that die 1/2 die electrically and 1/2 don't absorb juice properly after a few refills to the point that its not worth trying any more. Ive had this happen especially with Pear flavor cartos for some reason. Pear juice is fine in blank premiums. I've tried all of the broken ones on all types of batts (all V4L) before giving up on them.

I get at least 6 refills on all of them and the difference in quality between these and the old ones is UNBELIEVABLE!!! SO WORTH IT!!!

NO MORE SPINNING THANK GOD!!!!!!!!! .....as time IS money!!!

Haven't had a cool cart die on me yet in the 2 weeks that I've had them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these are "the answer."...??

Vape on!!
