Your best option would be to find out if there is a vape shop near you that has a juice tasting bar. You can try all the flavors with a sample battery and tank and sanitary tip before you buy. This way you can decide what you like and not waste money on a flavor you don't like. There's a Store Locator here.

When I began vaping over 2.5 years ago, there were no vape shops or flavor bars, you had to pick and choose from online vendors from poor descriptions and crazy names that gave you no clue what the flavor was. It was pretty much hit or miss, and many times miss. Browse through the E-Liquid Forum here and see what vendor names seem to pop up most frequently, and then visit the website.

You may find that some flavors will need to be steeped before they reach their full flavor potential. This simply means allowing the juice to sit for 1 - 2 weeks for all of the components to blend together. Many flavors do not need steeping if they were made in large batches before you placed your order. If the vendor custom mixes at the time of your order, there's a good chance it will need steeping. Most vendors now put a "birth date" on the bottle. E-juices are good for one year.

Johnson Creek is your best bet. They have both 100% VG and PG/VG blends in many flavors. Best part about them is their juice is made in the USA as well as all of the ingredients contained. They have the best return policy in the business. If you order a 15 ml or 30 ml bottle and do not like it you can return for a full refund or exchange. They even pay the return shipping and the shipping of whatever you exchange it for if that is what you chose to do. I am sure you will find something you like from them. I searched forever and many different brands before trying them and now I will not buy anything else. They also sell small 5 ML sample bottles that you cannot return.

Go to a local B&M for a new flavor. I'm not saying there aren't some good ejuice providers on the internet it's just taste is really subjective. Since you don't want to waste money I'd rather you go local and get something you know you're going to like first rather than spending money, waiting for shipping, and hating your new flavor.

Baditude... I see the point about visiting a B&M for a "juice bar". I have 7 or so bottles from my areas most popular vape shop (they make their own). Honestly, I think they don't taste very good. I don't know any other vapors so it was only by reading THIS forum that it course to me that most people don't suffer the taste of ejuice, most enjoy it. I wanted to ask you... Is it because my juices are high nicotine content that they all taste the same? (Meaning, they all taste like smoked pepper, period) my mg ranges from 24-36

 Nicotine alone has a pepper taste. Imagine that! It's what causes the burn or throat hit that smokers demand. So the more nicotine in the liquid, the more it will taste peppery. Gives you a reason to drop your nicotine level. I started vaping a 18mg, and over two years later I am down to 6 mg, 3 mg, or zero nic. Flavors are much more flavorful and like their description; although I still like the little nic buzz from a little nicotine time to time.

I still get bouts of vaper's tongue, where I don't really taste the flavor. I can't explain what causes it, but its relatively common. At these times I just vape straight Vg (glycerin) that I buy from Walmart or CVS Pharmacy. Its cheap and relatively available. It has a slightly sweet flavor all its own (its used in many food products as a natural sweetener) and makes a ton of vapor.

Like previously said, best bet is to find local B&M's so you can try flavors before you buy, second would be try a few of the more highly / frequently recommended vendors.

IMO, most of all there is no such thing as premium e juice, just premium priced vs reasonably priced.

Must be nice to have the luxury of a B&M in your city! Some of us just have to buy online and pray haha. I do agree with your comments, the expensive stuff is just overprices. You can find some great stuff out there without going broke.

Premium e-liquids = fancy packaging, nothing more. They are still only PG, VG, nick base, and flavoring.

I won a bottle of a well known fancy high dollar e-liquid at a vape meet ....tastes like Ivory soap!
I agree and disagree. There are many premium flavors that I don't care for and wouldn't buy. My local vape shop has over 160 flavors at the bar to try free of charge, half of them premium.

I can definitely tell the difference between premium and standard e-liquids. Premium flavors are like dining out at a nice restaurant; standard flavors are like fast food. They both feed you and one costs way more than the other. I can generally tell if the manufacturer uses artificial or natural/organic flavorings, too. Organic/natural flavors are purer, not artificial. Fruits taste like fruits, not like fruit flavored candy.

If you can't taste the difference, then just buy what's cheaper for you.

My favorite flavor is Five Pawns Castle Long, a premium flavor that cost $27.50 for 30 ml. Its a Kentucky Bourbon with hints of roasted coconut, almonds, vanilla, and brown sugar. A complex and deeply enjoyable flavor for me. It reminds me of a pipe tobacco I used when I smoked a pipe -- Borkum Riff's Bourbon. However, its too rich in flavor to be used as an all day vape; perfect for a relaxing evening watching TV.

The Castle Long Reserve is aged in oak barrels for 3 weeks to add a woody flavor to the original for $37.50 per 30 ml. Do I think that's worth $10 additional dollars. No, but its no different than people who spend $40 for an premium cigar. I can no longer afford either one, but I still have half a bottle of Castle Long that I save and drip for special occasions.

Good flavor has much to do with the device you use, correct? If I am using an evic and protank 2 do you think I would even get the full experience of a Five Pawns? In different words, would you say premium ejuice should have high end set up (sub ohm?) I can't afford Five Pawns anyway, but curious, maybe one day I can try!
