I was thinking about VAT for the last 5 mins. Ok, lets say that someone buys a product from a land store. He will pay tax (or VAT in EU).

Now lets say that someone from USA buys from stuff from Greece. Greek seller made a sale to him so he has to charge VAT for this sale and give the VAT to his country, that is Greece. The only way to not charge VAT to a person is only when this person is a proffesional. Like me and Bruce for example. I dont charge VAT to Bruce. But if Bruce didnt had a legal store and he was an individual then I had to charge him VAT.

Greek seller or any other seller must charge VAT on all his sales to individuals even if they are in a different country. I am more than sure about that

I don't know if there are some different laws in Greece, but in the most EU countries, the scenario that you mentioned
Ok, lets say that someone buys a product from a land store. He will pay tax (or VAT in EU).
would be resolved in the way that you show the invoice at the customs officer of that country when you are leaving. And they will give you VAT refund on the spot.

I don't know how that is working with online purchaces.

And as I said at the begining, I don't know Greek laws. A lot of people think that EU zone means that all have same laws. In the EU you have same basic principles and similar laws, but they don't need to be exactly the same... and also there are exeptions in some laws from country to country, which EU negotiates with the member country.

I think Greece has the same laws Moon. And I think that this is happening to every country. I dont think that any seller in any country send goods to individuals on another country without charging VAT (or country's tax)

Now that I am thinking better, things are just like this. I know what I am talking about. And I will try to find links about this issue

HM Revenue & Customs: Exports, dispatches, supplying goods abroad: charging VAT

check where is says:

How do you charge VAT to someone in another EU country?

If you sell goods or services to someone who isn't VAT registered in another EU country, you must charge VAT in the normal way - just as you would for a UK customer.

"isn't VAT registered" means that he is not a proffesional but an individual

Don't mind my posts about EU and member state laws, I'm working in foreign affais so that's my professional dissability... one sentence is enough to get me talking about that.

But the fact is that all countrise don't have same laws. And that is good, you can not implement same laws on different countries/cultures. But that is off topic, I will stop here. Sorry.

Back on topic - last night I have ordered something from Greek seller and i didn't pay the VAT.

I will make them too unloaded:)
Any chance of getting a few Ody short mode mouthpieces V2? I've got a couple V1 Odys and the mouthpiece gets shorter with clear tank and even shorter with GGTS base. With short mouthpiece the top nut grabs mustache hair!
