Hello There Ikenvape Folks,

It may be a naive question but is there any way to just preorder cartos? I know logistics and budgeting has got to be a nightmare especially in the PV/e cig market right now considering how finicky the market is with how quickly things are evolving. Wouldn't the ability to preorder help with the logistics? Just a thought :)

I actually think this would be a good idea it could help Iken and the customer at the same time. Not saying this should be a long term solution but as a band-aid to the current one it could help. Could it be an administrative nightmare yes but when in business this is a part of it sometimes.

Pre orders would help give Iken an idea of what he really needs. So for the short term i think this would be a good idea. It would allow those who still want to get some, plus what he ordered already will now stay in stock long enough to be able to keep a good re order pace with his manufacturer.

But it really doesn't have to be a night mare. Restaurants do pre ordering all the time so that they know what they need to get on top of regular everyday stock. They take down payments (deposits) on pre orders and get paid in full upon delivery or in this case upon shipping. This becomes a contract of sorts so that no one goes into this frivolously. And its made clear that deposits are not refundable because that money has been used for said product. Which could be done so as to help get his stocks back to normal. That is a personal descision.

I think this community as a whole could act like adults and pull together to help Iken and them selfs at the same time. This product is obvioulsy coveted but if we dont all pull together on this there could be worse outcomes like this not being avail anymore. If those of us who really like Iken's products dont pull together we could very well lose Iken and his products. Because let me tell you bad reviews and thoughts travel far faster and wider then good ones. No matter what the owners situation is. The nay sayers just dont care.

Now for myself i would gladly pay half in advance and the rest upon shipping atm because it would help both Iken's business get back to normal and myself to satisfy my needs.

But thats just me and my opinion

I would also be in for the prepaid preorder system. More work for Isaac to keep track but might allow more quantities to be ordered if that is the bottleneck. I wish my business had customers lining up to order items. I would hate to see a good business with a good product fail to succeed, although the limited quantities are kind of creating a mytique to the cartomizers. Only ordered once on last batch and would like some more. I don't know Isaac's finances right now but with increasing quantites he is probably putting most of his sales proceeds back in additional inventory to sell. Half up front orders should up his ability to order in quantity and satisfy the demand. I am sure there is a lot I don't know but might be a short term solution.

I would happily pay the full amount on a pre-order.

I think others should to. This allows him to finance larger orders.

Half down does not give him the same immediate buying power of financial leverage. The margin could be applied to more stock right away allowing those that don't pre-order an easier shot at them in the future.

My business lives on pre-orders.

I have quite a bit of experience with this.

Partially paid pre-orders can at times actually cause harm if it forces him into a cash outlay that cannot be afforded due to volume. It depends on the cost point relative to the sale and other costs.

When it is 100% at retail is changes the temporal nature and subtracts days off of the NPV (net present value) actually increasing it allowing larger orders than would otherwise be possible and moves the margin up in time.
