I truly believe as soon as e-ciggs are fully regulated and taxed, they will be touted as the best thing to happen since the polio vaccine! "They" will also take credit for cleaning and controlling up a potentially dangerous industry and get us to thank them for doing it with our dollars.
There's another film coming out about the CDC hiding results of vacinations and autism. After learning about what the CDC did with their "studies" on vaping, that is one outfit I do NOT trust.........Actually I've become pretty much paranoid lately with anything to do with ANY government agency.
Vaping is the Walter White to the American drug cartels like big pharma & we are reaching a critical tipping point. Why anyone would trust a word they spew is beyond me.
There's also a good book called "the truth about drug companies" that speaks to the corruption that runs rampant throughout the fda and big pharmaceuticals, right down to the reason you have to pay $30 per pill while someone else has already created a generic for .05 per pill but they can't put it to market because of how the government allows big pharma to manipulate the drug patents. Kickbacks to doctors, legal teams that rule the courts, payments to government officials...the list goes on.
I don't know about you, but it doesn't sound like a body I would want advising me on what's best for mine.

We all make outstanding keyboard warriors lol.
If we used our keyboard voice in real life some things might change, but far too often people choose to stay quiet and rant about it on the interwebs.
I retired from federal service ten years ago and couldn't agree with you more. The problem is that federal agencies are funded by congress and therefore are "sensitive" to the needs and desires of congressmen sitting on appropriations committees. Leadership positions within federal agencies are appointed by politicians and, without fail, will do their bidding. U.S. Politicians are "owned" by corporate America and special interest groups, therefore corporate America runs/directs federal agencies through their congressional proxies. That's how it "really" works. It's nothing but lies, deceit and deception and it's getting worse with each passing year especially since the SCOTUS decision on the -Citizens United- case. "The best government money can buy" is a spot on assessment of politics in America today. If you hear a knock at the front door and someone says "It's the government and we're here to help"... your best course of action is to -run- in the other direction.
