And all it took was my 1st DIY batch of a handful of juices (3ml each) that have steeped for only several hours..

Tomorrow I'll be whipping up some more at 10ml each so I can get more of a steep going..

A couple are great right out of the gate, though..

Just single-flavor juices for now.. Will get into flavor-mixing soon enough..

Granted, some of these flavorings, like Cola & Strawberry Shortcake, aren't technically single flavors..

I enjoy all of them so far.. Though some I can already see being only part of a multi-flavored juice...

Anyway, should have done this a long time ago! :headbang:

I've had very limited success mixing flavors. I think my most success multi-mix was the pina calada, which is 5%pineapple 10% coconut, 5% butter rum.

Other than that, I do mostly single flavors like licorice, strawberry, clove, and cinnamon. I like complex mixes, but have tried a couple dozen that just didn't pan out, and I felt like I was wasting resources. I have tried looking up recipes, and there's tons out there, but it seems like I never have the right flavors on hand to do them right.

I will admit though that once you get the jest of mixing single flavor, the rest falls into place. The only reason I haven't accomplished more is that I've been content with my single flavors and lazy about getting back to experimenting

Ain't nothing wrong with some single flavors!
I'm addicted to 5% menthol, VG & distilled H2O right now...

(I'm now at zero-nic, so I don't even have to "worry" about that whole nic thing..)

As for the multi-mixes, I'm just going to try to re-create some pre-made favorites, or at least put my own spin on them..

I already know most if not all the flavorings they use.. Just have to order & then tinker with the %

Cheaper in the long run of course.... In the short run it's only cheaper if you can keep from buying 1 (or 2) of every flavor from every vendor... ;)

Still going to vape up the rest of my commercial pre-made stuff.. Got a lot of that stocked up..

But I could easily place a 2nd order tonight & buy at least a couple dozen flavorings, though..

Restraint, restraint... :D

I got there after my 2nd bottle of name brand juice.
There are some great flavors out there.

Yeah, I was thinking about DIY even before I registered at ECF..

Just (stupidly) never got around to it until now..

Was doing stuff like mixing pre-made juice for nic levels & for creating "new" flavor combos, and cutting flavored with unflavored, for a while.. So I've got some "experience"...

Anyway, better late than never!

I was very hesitant to try DIY'ing after reading the stickies, but finally dipped my toes into the pool back in March. I wish I had tKen this step sooner! DIY'ing was the biggest game changing move forward in my vape journey to date. The cost savings are huge in the long term picture, but for me the real benefits are knowing what is in my vape, and being able to taylor each flavor to my own tastes. There's a couple bottles of my favorite vendor juice still in my stash, but a bunch of the ones that really didn't do it for me went down the drain, homemade just tasted that much better to me once a few things were figured out. Best of luck to you on your DIY journey, it is a blast!

I would start DIY but I'm a flavor junkie and there's no way I have the time to figure out how to produce the stuff the top notch vendors produce. if I was a meh flavor guy I'd consider it

DIY is perfect for flavor junkies!

I have it somewhat easy.. My favorite juice vendor has limited ingredient supplier options due to their particular genre.. And as such, there aren't many flavoring companies out there which offer these flavorings.. Once I started doing some research and putting 2 & 2 together, it was pretty easy to figure out which one they're using...

In addition to me having pretty sensitive tastebuds, my favorite juice vendor also usually (but not always) lists most or all of each flavoring in their website descriptions.. Obviously I have some work ahead of me, since I'd still have to figure out which chocolate(s) they use, for example, and in what percentages...

But I'm not really looking to re-create an exact replica, anyway.. If I figure it out quickly & easily, great! Though I'd prefer to tweak & personalize even my favorite juices, whether intentionally or by accident...

Seriously, give it a try.. Heck, even just pick up a few flavorings to add to some pre-made juices, or something, to start out with.. At the fundamental level, DIY isn't a very difficult thing to do.. But becoming an expert mixer probably ain't gonna happen overnight, either, so you have to give yourself some time -- and cut yourself some slack!
