Don't know how it happened, was never a really conscious thing- but I've found myself going the whole day without vaping or really thinking about it. Might pick one up on occasion for a couple puffs, but maybe only once or twice a day now- and whenever I get new shipments in to make sure the batch is good :)

Anybody else find themselves in a similar situation?

I really like vaping but:
I just hope I will happen to me too! With cigarettes I was not able to go anywhere without em. For the moment it's the same with my PV and it is what I hate.

How many months of vaping ? Did you start in may 2008 ? 18 months ?

I read a few weeks ago a similar statement from another ECF vet.

Yeah, you've just about hit it on the head.. Around 18 months. Took me a couple months to completely switch over but then I found myself gradually vaping less while staying tobacco free. I think it has something to do with not having all the additives and while I don't have any studies to back this up I think a part of it might have something to do with the lack of acetaldehyde.

agree, there has to be more addiction to the additives in analogs then the nicotine.. I've been off vaping for a week, and it wasn't on purpose just didn't have the nudge to pick it up and time just kept slipping away between vaps before I realized it...... off analogs feeling better and more physically active instead of sitting around all the time ... interesting.....:)

nowhere near quitting yet--but i have definitely noticed that my "need" to vape is less than my "need" to have a cigarette was... er, that's a clumsy sentence, but yeah. i do vape more often than i smoked, but i find i can go longer without vaping than i could without smoking and not have a nic fit. *shrugs* who knows. there are so many variables at work!

This is definitely true, I believer it is much easier to quit vaping than smoking. I think it is all the other alkaloids in cigarettes that make quitting cigarettes much more difficult. When I smoked and went several hours without a cigarette, I would begin to go “nuts”. I can go hours without vaping and I feel fine.

Note: I loved to smoke; now I love to vape. I do not see myself quitting vaping anytime soon, if ever.
