Hello all, just wanted to make it official and quit lurking around here. I've been vaping for about six weeks now, and completely off of tobacco for about five. I'd been smoking for about eighteen years, quit once or twice, but never for very long at all. Those couple of times that i had quit were do to extenuating circumstances (sickness once and military service the other.) I guess that i just never knew how to quit or felt like i really could do it. Picked up a Blu starter kit several months back, and it was just okay, it didn't really seem to help that much. After that fell to the sidelines, i eventually picked up a Mega T-Rex, and shortly thereafter, a Provari. With no real conscious decision to quit, cigarettes just stopped being appealing. Well, I didn't intend for this to be a whole speal, thanks to anyone that did read through it.

Tried quitting multiple times myself. 2X patch, 2X gum, 2X Chantix, 1X Zyban, 1X cold turkey. I made it a year once (I think it was gum and a new baby that did it) but all the others were a few weeks tops. Ecigs are the only one that actually caused my to dislike my cigarette brand. On November 14 I'll be smokefree 3 months.

Yay for all of us!!!!

Welcome, and congratulations! I also quit smoking once due to extenuating circumstances -- pregnancy -- but I just don't see that working as a permanent solution. Vaping is much more practical. Whether it's cheaper than raising a kid remains to be seen. There's a lot of cool stuff out there. :)

Welcome! I am only going on my second week of vaping, (and only one day with a decent PV). I am still smoking some cigarettes, but I agree with what you said about not liking the taste of your brand anymore. Even so I am still addicted to something in them that causes a craving even with vaping, but I am definitely not liking them as I used to. Now that I got my new PV, which works much better then plan is to never buy cigs again. I hope to join the quitters team real soon!
