Pretty sure I just broke a cartomizer.

I read somewhere that you only need two or three drops to fill a carto, so that's what I did. A few puffs later, I got a burnt taste, so I did some more research and refilled the carto. This time it was with more like a dozen drops. Nope, nothing. I swapped out a pre-filled carto and it worked just fine. Then I tried refilling my broken carto and the juice dripped out the other side.

Anything I can do about this? I'm pretty bummed that I have a brand new blank carto that no longer works.

You may have fried the coil... Doubtful that happened, but it's a possibility... You did, however, almost certainly burn the filler material, in which case the flavor is going to be horrible if you can get it working again...

30 drops is more like it.You want to fill it, then wait for the juice to be absorbed by the filler and then fill some more.Keep doing this until it stays "slushy" looking on top without soaking in.

I can't get the carto open with anything I have. I was just filling through the hole since my dropper top fits in there. Maybe that's my problem?

You dont have a pencil or a pen laying around? Filling through the middle hole in the carto cap wont work that well if at all.

You can even use the tine from a fork.

Strike that. I was afraid of breaking it but since I already have a broken carto, I used a paperclip. Works like a charm. There's an extra bit of rubber in there that I wasn't expecting, but everything goes back together just fine.

The inner fiber tube seems to have been pushed up. I don't get it.

I'm not sure what type of threading the SideSho has :/

Maybe someone can chime in? All the cartomizers I use are 510 threading, they may not work with the SideSho without an adapter

at least 22 drops for first fill. Once you burnt it, it will taste burnt, u need a new carto

I have a ton of Boge cartos that I bought all at once. They are great, no funny taste. Hopefull in a year or two when I need some more they will still be great.

To the OP....As others here have stated, if you tasted a heavy burnt taste, just ditch the carto. It will always have a burnt tast.
Also, there is a night and day difference between crappy and great cartos. Trust me, I know first hand.

There is another method out there instead of dripping 30 drops, you get the ruber "condom" you get on a new cartomizer and rip juice into it and put the 510 threading into the condom. Your e-liquid will be pushed up the carto. After that you blow through your cartomizer and repeat until cartomizer is saturated.
