Need Cartomizer Help

I just tried my first blank cartomizer yesterday (love it, by the way).

I looked through some of the online instructions for filling/refilling and chose the method that seemed simplest to me -- dripping about 25 drops from the e-liquid bottle into the battery end of the carto. I found that I had to remove the plastic cap from the mouthpiece end in order for the carto to suck in the liquid, but that was okay -- no spills, drips out the bottom, etc.

When it started tasting burnt (a little quicker than I thought it should, but that's another topic), I tried to top it off the same way I filled it -- by dripping into the battery end. But liquid started dripping out the mouthpiece end when I did that.

What's wrong?

What I do is slide the condom all the way on. Fill from the top and spin it. Then fill from the top again and spin it again. I do this until no more liquid will go down into the carto. Then I blow out the excess and vape. I've never had a dry hit like that.

I'm one who doesn't like the condom fill method, I prefer to drip and top-off every hour or so. Like you I find removing the silicon mouthplug to be cumbersome so I suggest you invest $1/2 in a drip-tip. Super T Manufacturing (has a forum and is in the forum suppliers listing at the top of ECF) has great stainless steel and Derlin drip-tips that I use. There are tons of artsy ones elsewhere in case that matters. They're easy to drip through or quickly pull and push back in for top-offs. -Magnus

On new carts I fill about 10 drops or so from the top... place a finger over the threaded end and press it against the palm of my hand. Through a flicking motion, like a slinging action of whipping the cart downward almost like packing cigarette packs, I can force the juice to the bottom in seconds. Refill it and do it again... Using this method I can totally fill my BOGE carts or X2's in about 20 seconds from brand new.

I just take off the mouthpiece and drip juice on to the filler. Let it rest for about 10-15 minutes and vape away. When the vapor starts to drop off, I know it's time to add more juice.

I have used the above mentioned methods each works, as well as using a syringe.

It just depends on your personal preference.
