Price vs Performance... Is expensive always better?

Will do I have it fused with a protected battery.... No dramas so far it hits like a champ :)

I guess as far as my preference for mechs goes, always liked to tinker with stuff and find I like the more aggressive vape and can achieve that easier on a mech with rba. MY SVD is great for when Im feeling lazy I use it with rebuilt Kanger protanks and iclear 16's, my MVP is equally as useful and compact for when Im going out for a day or more.

Basically for the most part in my opinion the mechs look cooler as well (nice and shiny) and at the end of the day Ill treat my sigelei setup with less regard than the setinel/trident setup so the more expensive setup is going to last longer :)

As someone asked earlier the Trident does have the double airholes opened up :)

Price dose mean better IMO Most people are not very happy with what they paid for their rook I got mine in a group buy for half price and still payed to much!
I think obviously performance is the best thing each person is looking for. There is also quality of materials, craftsman ship, style they all come in to play.
I like my collection yes its excessive and 100% unnecessary I just like collecting this stuff. I would not advise any noob to jump in to highend stuff unless they were heart set on a Provari then Id suggest go for it.
I think its really a personnel question with no right or wrong answer. What are your priorities, what you can afford,do you mind fiddling with stuff?

I have two Provari's because they are the most dependable and consistant APV I could buy; and despite using them on a daily basis, I know that they will last me years as opposed to months compared to the China-made APVs that I own. Even should one require repair service down the road, I know that the manufacturer can do so and I will have it back working again within a week's time - I also know that could never happen with the China-made APVs. Is that peace of mind worth the extra cost of a Provari? To me it is.

This pretty much mirrors my thoughts on it to a degree. I'm focusing my purchases of mods and RBAs these days on high quality mechanicals to ensure my long term access to vaping regardless of whatever government interference might be put in place. Cheaper mods I consider disposable. And that's not saying they're bad by any means. I have a few of the cheaper ones that I reserve for the beach and nights out or for when I want a smaller form factor to stealth with. And they work fine but they will not last me for years due to the lower build quality.

At the end of the day it's all about your personal perceptions. If someone doesn't think a higher end is worth it, then it's not worth it for them. If someone else thinks a lower end mod is a waste of money, then it is a waste for them. It's what works for each and every vaper individually to keep them from smoking.

I will add an update:

I did just rebuild the coils in my Trident and on the Sentinel with new Panasonic NCR18650PD batteries (18A discharge limit) instead of the Keepower IMR I was previously using... My fears are totally gone! Same wraps and build style now metering at .3ohms and WOWSERS! With a 50/50 mix clouds and clouds with a ton of flavour.

Happy!

I dont think the battery type makes a huge difference, but my IMRs had alot of cycles on them and were getting on in age.

Edited for accuracy.....

Quick sums with a power calculator gave some results....

Keeppower 18650 IMR from the information I can find seem to have a max draw of 18A - 10A constant.. 4.2v at .3ohm resistance is 14A draw for a potential of 58 watts.

These Panasonics 18A peak max draw 10A Constant would theoretically handle the load just as well. Basically the only difference is the chemistry.

Also the Panasonics are advertised 2900mah and physically thicker. The Keeppower at 2250mah. Plus you can get 2 of the Panasonics for like $14 from Fasttech :offtopic:

10 watt vaping just seems boring now :)
