Prices Dropping?

I wonder if maybe they changed the target specs for the Riva from 650maH to 750maH for competitive advantage over the eGo prior to product launch, and someone ended up with leftover stock that they're now trying to liquidate. That might explain why they're calling it an eGo instead of Riva.

The other possibility of course is that they just scarfed a picture from somewhere.

Shenzhen-Joye also links to alibaba as a friendly link, and I noticed that in alibaba's site, the Joye eGo appears as model number: 'Joye eGo' , whereas for the Riva it says model number: 'eGo',

but under both Riva and JoyeEgO, it says Brand Name: Joye so it appears that Joye makes lots of goodies (and whatever Logo pays them?)

It's possible that Joye really does make different eGos. That part is not hard to understand, considering they're allowing people to put whatever logo pays them.

In terms of Joye insisting on high prices to us little vapers, I didn't say that, and I don't even know the origin of that idea.

Well some of us will soon. Shenzhen-Kemeier,-Kanger,-Boge,etc. etc. is essentially the planet's supplier. These are the Shenzhen factory portals.

You can buy some yourself and supply your friends on your block too, or feel free to register here at ECF and help us out when our nearby supplier is out of stock.

I have found that these suppliers really sock it to you when it comes to the shipping and pay pal fee. I had "Hello Smoke" put together 4 of their 016 kits and 10 extra batteries totaling just over $200. After I received a purchase order from them it was for $271. $50 in shipping and $20 in pay pal fees.

Heh, it seems everyone is selling an eGo these days. They have quoted me <THESE> for $20.56 and extra batteries for $7.50. No minimum order .... they call them sample orders.

Those are Rivas. If you look at the pic it has Riva etched into the top of the battery.
I have a Riva and love it, at that price I might have a couple more rivas.

The pics are Riva but the specs are for Ego batts. There needs to be more clarity.

Yeah, good luck with that! Would you trust any answer they give you? If you pose the question, first they'll try and figure out what you want to hear, and that'll be the answer they give you. I'm afraid this is one of those deals where you're either feeling lucky and go for it or you wait for someone else to chance it and see how it goes for them. I'm not expecting a whole lot of clarity until then. I think I'll wait and see.

If I hadn't ordered a new Riva set this morning, I would go with the JSB Vgo. It's manufacter will sell one kit for $25.00 USD plus $20.00 USD for shipping. If I recall those batteries are 900 mAh. Make sure you tell Eva I sent you. LOL

Sure doesn't! Sounds like they want to limit sales to non-vendors. That may be why there apparently aren't any sites selling it in the USA. I wonder if any of their models are carried here?

Isn't eastmall in China? If you order from China, the factory Shenzhen Kemeier said they can sell me 2-battery eGo kits for $25 and additional batteries for $9.

(update-I think they can sell as little as 5 kits for personal use, I contacted them and they sent me an email. It may be more cost effective to just order thespare batteries by themselves, and lower the package weight.)

Anyway, the reason why it says Joye for both the JoyeEgo and the Riva had me wondering also. I wonder if it's like someone in another country ordering a Pontiac Firebird and a Chevrolet Camaro, and then getting puzzled as to why both vehicles have a GM sticker logo on them?
