I'm new to atomizers. After getting my ego-c a couple weeks ago I've been vaping it with only cartomizers. I'm ready to try out the tank system and want to make sure I'm priming the ego-c atomizer head correctly. From what I've read about priming non-c attys, I simply blow through the atomizer until there is no more priming fluid spraying out from it. It sounds like there are more involved techniques that may or may not be necessary with the ego-c atty. I'm also not sure if I should be connecting the atomizer to the base and cone before trying to blow out the primer. Also if I am to simply blow threw the tiny atty head, should I be blowing in from the battery side?

Thanks!

The way I do it is I blow thru the bottom end so that the priming fluid comes out the spike. Do that a few times. Then place a small drop of e-liquid on the spike and make sure its wicking. Repeat with another drop. Once its drawing the fluid in, assemble everything and attach tank and take one short hard drag without holding down the power button (this forces a bit of fluid into the atty). After that, fire it up. I usually dont inhale the first 3-4 drags but after that you should be good to do.

Another method would be to take apart the atty, soak all pieces in Everclear and then follow above steps.

I thought you were supposed to blow attys out from the top and push the primer or juice (when cleaning) down and catch the fluid from the end where the threads are. With my ego-c attys I have been connecting the entire unit and then doing the above steps. I also do this every few night with my regular attys to clean out the juice...it seems to work great....but I could be doing it wrong as I too am a noob.

Another method I've read here is to dry burn the atty.

Assemble the "C" without the tank. Press the button for 1 second until you hear a pop. This is the crap burning off. Then add a drop or two of ejuice. Add the tank suck for a couple of seconds to get the juice flowing from tank to atty.

You should now be ready to go.

Now my own personal method is just assemble everything and start drawing. The first 10 draws are NOT inhaled. This has worked for me.

But of course, your own mileage may vary.

Also, don't forget your attys come apart into two pieces and they do need to be cleaned fairly often. The 1 or 2 second dry burn really does very little good from my experience. To give the atty a really good clean you need to be able to visually see the coil turning red to know you are burning all the residues off. I've been using the same atty for 3 months now and I don't see myself replacing it any time soon. Good luck.
