So I work in a prison, and got my Ego last....Thursday? Ya I think Thursday. SO I have Thursday and Friday off (I work graveyard) and bingo, in the mail, thanks to that fine lady Vicki and the rockin' ladies at Cignot, my new ego kit has ARRIVED. I'm stoked. So, I don't smoke analogs for 2 days. Yep the vapin' rocks, and from a 25 year smoker of MINIMUM pack a day, well that's saying something.

So Saturday night rolls around time to go back to work. Hmmm do I take the eGo? Or take the nastys? Ego? Nastys? Damn, well nastys won Saturday night. Sunday morning rolls around I've smoked 2 and a half of the nastys!! (35 minute drive both ways to work). Get home and fell on my ego, which I'm sure MISSED me HORRIBLY, and played catch up.

Sunday night rolls around. Ego or nastys? Ego? Nastys? BOTH. I figure I'll try to do some fast talking at work and see if I can get it in. I'm fairly certain these guys ain't never seen nothing like this.

Nope, they haven't. I got from, "That isn't for smoking DOPE is it?" to "what in the hell is THAT?" It took me half an hour, some fast talking and a special locker to get my ego INTO the prison, and a guard with me everytime I used the Ego ROTFL (I only smoke 3 times a shift), however, I'm confident over the next couple of days, they'll get used to the idea. And frankly, I"m targeting a few guards to take a walk on the dark side with me. 2 have shown an interest.

Any one else have to do some fast talking to get their PV into work? Just curious!

Glad you are winning them over. I won't say where I work, but let's just say its in the cancer medical field.....so I'm in my office and just close the door. Everyone that walks by can look in (tall, skinny window on side of door) and some have looked but no one has said one word. I even had my boss walk right in when I was blowing vaper out, give me a funny look but did not say one word. I guess they really don't want to know about it, and figure as long as it doesnt smell offensive or actually give off smoke they are ok with it. Progress, I say.

Get some ECF cards and hand them out. They don't have to join the forums but they can look further into ecigs and educate themselves about them. It's worth a shot.

At least they let you use it. I could see working in a prison that it might be a bit of a problem. However, I don't really know what an inmate could do, harmful wise, if they got it away from you.

I had an argument with a supervisor who said that if smokers should get cold/wet/inconvenienced then so should I. When I told him that I wasn't a smoker anymore, I was a vaper, he screamed that I shouldn't even be allowed to use the thing outside my own home. And that was the cleaned up version! But I stealth vaped at work yesterday and no-one noticed. I also stealth vape in the bathroom and reasonable often I stealth vape in the canteen too.

Doncha just hate that holier-than-thou attitude? I never could understand why anyone thinks they have a licence to be rude. Seem like he can't control anything especially his mouth... Hang in there. Glad you found a way to stealth.

they'd never fly in a prison, at least not for the inmates. I've seen some of the crafty junk they've created with just what they're allowed, some of it's scarey.

Working in the court myself and about to make my first purchase, I'm shying away from the egos and going for a more stealth approach till I can win over folks here with the PV's

I also stealth vape at work, however I like to visit my analog outcast buddies, 50' away from any main building entrance. I thought I was going to show them something new with the e-cig, however 2 of them had already tried it and didn't like it. I'm sure they didn't spend time to learn how it operates and I will try to help them.

What a friggin' jerk!

We aren't supposed to use tobacco at all at work but everybody ignores that unless the corporate head honchos are around. I vape around my analog smoking co-workers but not the supervisors.
I've passed out a few ECF cards around work.

I am a manager in a manufacturing plant. I use my PV outside and do not allow the other 3 people who vape to do it inside the plant.

It may be extreme but to me it's unprofessional and a distraction when they should be working.

They can smoke cigarettes or vape all they want during breaks in the smoking area.
