Hello, I've been vaping for about 2 years now, haven't had too many problems, just sometimes getting an atomizer that dies out quickly. I've been using an Ego for some time and have loved it. But lately NOTHING I have bought even works at all! I had a mega ego atomizer I bought from MyVaporStore that broke, I bought a LR Ego tank from MyVaporStore which tasted like nasty plastic from day one, bought a 510 atomizer to replace that from Vapemasters, tasted like nasty burning that wouldn't go away. Bought a 5 pack of Smoktech dual coil cartomizers from Backwoods Brew, only 2 of them worked correctly, and only for a couple days each, and now today I received a Ego mega atomizer and a 5-pack of Boge 2.0 cartomizers from Litecigusa and all them just give me that nasty burning.

Can someone please help me out here? Why could my luck be so bad all of the sudden? I've wasted a ton of money and juice just trying to vape the past month I haven't been able to at ALL. What should I do? I'm not a n00b at this so I don't think any of this is my fault. Thanks.

For the Smoktech's, have you tried pulling the post out a tad? Here lately I've been doing that to all of mine. As for Boge, sounds like you got a bad box from the bad run they had...that was the common complaint..burnt taste. As for the other atomizers, sorry I can't give you any insight to them. Have you tried a LR510 or LR306 with drip tip? Seems that maybe you need a complete change. QC coming out of China is steadily going downhill.

Sorry for your apparent bad luck if ya believe in luck....in my "dedicated" 38 days of vaping I've been pretty fortunate as far as attys and carts go...gone thru 3 510 attys and on Kanger cart and I'm a 2-3 mil a day vaper. I'm religiously wiping my threads and cleaning excess out of my attys.....not sure it helps but that's my thing.

Dual coil cartos may need special filling with more than one method. Those 1.5ohm dual coils also have the potential to damage Ego and other fat enclosed mass-produced batteries and the higher ohms ones are for high voltage rigs.

Boge and other 1ml cartos I have no problem with. I use thin clear juices (20% or less VG and I avoid all juices that drop flavoring sediment in the cartomizer stuffing - that will degrade a cartomizer quickly). But you need to fill then completely to their stated capacity, clean up, settle, and then keep them damp. If you don't know how to use cartomizers then you may want to learn on the cooler 3 ohm ones which are a bit more forgiving.

---
How I fill V4L/Volt/Bloog KR8 cartos and Boge 510 cartos

With the carto off the battery... Pop out the soft cap with an unbent paperclip in the mouth hole, very careful not to catch stuffing or the wire loop.
Shake and open the eliquid

Fill
Hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole (or use the carto condom spike to block the hole),tilt the carto, and add 18 drops per ml of capacity into the stuffing (Boges and most KR8 cartos are about 1ml). You may need to wait a bit for the first few to soak in, then continue. After getting the 18 in, wait 15 seconds or so then see how many more drops the carto stuffing will soak in easily.

Cleanup
Clean up the threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue, puff into threaded end to clear air channel (Boges and the KR8 cartos I use have a defined center air channel and I want to see light through that) While the carto is still open end down, touch a soft bunch of tissue to the top of the stuffing to get the loose juice - this will help prevent leaks.

Settle (first fill only)
Cap and let it settle - I lay it on different sides and on the ends for 15-20 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing gets damp so I won't singe the carto. if you use thicker juice than me (I use 20% Vg or less) then you may need to wait much longer.

While vaping
While vaping, if the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or the carto is getting hotter than normal, I take the carto off the battery and add eliquid. Also, I use such light sediment-free juices, I can look at the stuffing and see if it needs juice because the stuffing goes back to near-white.

I often use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on Boge and KR8 cartos (not to drip into since the juice would head for the central air channel). Easy to pop out to add juice.

Have you tried different batteries? It might be your batteries causing all the grief?

It might actually be this. Could a bad battery cause all this to happen? The ego atomizer is working okay now, perhaps it just needed to be broken in a bit.

Just throwing this out there....have you switched your juice ratio lately? If you're using a higher VG juice, maybe it's just not wicking as quickly as you were previously used to and you're accidently burning out your attys and cartos.

I've been vaping mostly Backwoods Brew through all this, and he uses a different ratio with each juice. They are on the thicker side which is more VG correct?

I really appreciate all the advice.

I use the ego mega dual coil cartomizers from madvapes.com with a 1000mah batt from mikeusa.com, and high caliber red and white liquid 50/50 from myvaporstore.com. I have been using this for two months just circulating the carts and batts. No problem at all. I have had the best of luck with these vendors!!! Good luck!!

As previously mentioned it could be your batts? Do you have a multi tester to test them? As for the SmokTech DC I've found a couple that needed the batt end connection to be pulled out a bit very carefully. I know you are an experienced vaper and I don't mean to be insulting but are the cartos being filled enough the firat time to the point of overflowing a bit?
Good Luck, Vapoor.
Happy New Year.

I had a streak like that a while back, and what I did was go back to a bare basic setup (gas station disposable) to wait out the storm.

A simple trick with those Smoketech cartos; many 510-510 shorty extensions have a center post that is a tad to long, also many eGo-510 adaptors have a two piece center post that you can adjust the length. These can completly eliminate the problems that some have with getting a proper connection with some carto-mod combinations.

Thick juices will kill a carto in a couple of days. All but a few of Don's juices at Backwoods Brew are 70pg/30vg. Malty Toffee is 40pg/60vg if I remember correctly. He used to have a banner on the home page that listed the ratios.

100% pg will work great in a carto and you can get by with as much as 30%vg. Past that, the filler clogs after a couple of days. Fill them this way the first time to get full saturation, then you can top off by pulling the mouthpiece seal and dripping drops slowly into the filler. I tilt mine to keep the juice out of the center hole when topping off. If a juice is clear, it's a good sign that it's low in sediment. Clear is good, even if it's darker juice.

    Wow..tried toe 510/eGo adaptor and yup,works even better than a 510/510 adaptor.

    Thanks :)

Have you thought about Got Vapes Fluxomizers? I started with the eGo-T and it got me to stop analogs, but something was missing. I've only been vaping a month, but I have been using the Fluxomizers exclusively for over 2 weeks and have absolutely no problems. I have 4 of them going (on the eGo batteries, Silver Bullet, and Omega), and I go through about 2ml of juice a day. They're $12 for a pack of 5 and come in a variety of ohm ratings. I haven't had one die on me yet, so I'm hopeful that they'll outlast an atomizer or cartomizer. The flavor and vapor production are much better for me than the eGo atty. Try them, you might like them! :D

I also have only used the egoT and fill the tanks which sit in the atty. So if you use what you mentioned here, it is attached only to your battery and no tank or atty is used??

Litecigusa basically told me it's my fault none the cartomizers work, and now the atomizer I ordered with them has completely gone to crap, giving me just burning throat sensation and no flavor. Cleaning it had no effect whatsoever.

This issue has lasted me through two batteries now, I don't what to do, I keep spending money and wasting all the juice I buy. WTF do I do?
