Problem #2 (of 2) - eJuice staining clothes and linen

If you read my Problem 1 of 2 tonight, you learned that my Kangertech Nano has major leaking problems, but this is my concern for this post:

ejuice is permanently staining my clothing and linens. Does not seem to matter if I wash in warm or cold water. I have added booster products (Oxydol and Clorox 2), still stains.

I am not discounting the fact that possibly all ejuice ever concocted has been staining fabrics, but this is the first time that I've had a tank this malfunctioning so see it more. In addition to clothing, my bed sheets (yes, I vape in bed) seem permanently stained. I know that the glyc component might be tough, but if warm water, name brand detergent, and a booster product can't remove those drip stains .... then ?

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I have some t-shirts with PG stains. I recommend straight degreaser, like dish soap; I also recommend you find out why your Nano leaks so badly, and either fix it or try a new tank. My Mini leaked a ton because the o-rings were bad, the RBA base wouldn't wick right so I had to use too little cotton and do dry pulls; a stock coil and bellcap fixed that.

I've never noticed juice staining anything... And I've thoughtlessly wiped drips of spilled juice on my shirt, pants, sheets, towels, I'm even guilty of wiping my hand off on the seat in my car once or twice... Just a normal wash seems to remove it. I'm somewhat of a clean freak and haven't noticed any stains left after being washed anyway. I suppose if it was a huge spill it could stain, but thankfully I haven't had any major spills.

Nope, If I get a spill, like leaning my RDA against my pant leg while sitting on the couch, I just get a damp paper towel and blot it. It breaks up and next wash all is good.

I spilled a 50 ml bottle of unflavored on me once. It warshed right out in cold water with cheap detergent. I have seen a few flavors stain my clothes though. My guess is it's something in the flavoring. Loranns flavors are notorious for having food coloring in them. If that's your problem, you're boned. Nothing is going to warsh that out.

I've found that VG/PG doesn't stain. My ADV is a dark mix that does though so if I drip on my clothes I give it a good wipe with a wet cloth as soon as I notice it. I have had good luck with pre-treating the fabric with Oxy-Clean before a wash too, but the longer it stays on the fabric the harder it is to get out.

Gojo hand cleaner is your friend. If it can remove axle grease and printers ink. Pg doesnt stand a chance.

Rub some on b4 washing and gone.

As an employee in a welding shop, and a shade tree mechanic I wholeheartedly agree about GoJo.

Lestoil cleans greasy mechanics clothes very well in the wash.

VG and PG do not stain fabric. Unflavored juice does not stain either. Most clear flavors does not stain also. It is colored juices. Yes, some (most?) companies do add colorings which you can blame. Try to find clear juice you like.

Try another ejuice?

Some eliquids for example cinnamon and i think citrus, and maybe menthols, are known 'tank crackers' in that they may react with some plastic tanks; thats one reason people use glass tanks- so there's no issue of the liquid reacting with the tank.
So it's no suprise if some flavors will react with fabrics.

I agree, maybe buy juice with no food coloring in it ?

I've stained some work pants with a leaky tank and found nothing could get the stain out. Weird thing was I was vaping unflavored that day! Go figure, I can't blame it on the colorings.

I'm getting the same experience. My bride of 54 years used to complain about all the pipe tobacco burns in every thing I owned. Now it's juice stains. At least I don't catch myself on fire anymore by putting a lit pipe in my pocket that already had two packs of matching just waiting.....

Actually I have passed out twice here lately seemingly while vaping. I wake up and try to find it and it's lying next to me in the covers, guess it's better than sleep smoking.

The magic ejuice;
Sometimes early on in day I drip a dribble onto pants, by later in the eve the stain is gone, vanished, and when I pull pants off there's a shiny spot on my leg where the juice was dribbled. Goes straight thru hapened more times than a few awesome!

Peroxide is what I use on my ejuice stains and I've even gotten white shirts clean. Just apply and let it sit for awhile then re apply I keep some in a spray bottle with a little dawn for stains in my clothes.

I'm active most of the day. My rig spends a lot of time in my pocket. I insist on using rda's. Leaks are inevitable so I'm thinking about solutions.

One that I use already with limited success is this $2.25 Silicone Anti-slip Ring for E-Cigarette Atomizers / Mods (10-Pack) 10-pack - 24mm / black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping wrapped around the air hole on the barrel when it's in my pocket. Fastech also sells replacement rubber orings dirt cheap that can be used to loosen or tighten seals between he deck and barrel on most rda's. I ordered a size run so I can adust my rda's as I prefer. I'm thinking about a belt scabard design. Another possibility is an impermeabe lining of some kind in the pocket I use. I have a sewing maching and materials to work with but neither of these will be easy.

A good solution would sell well but there might not be one.
