Does anybody know how to make a banner work for your signature? I get an error message no matter what I try. Before my last banner up and disappeared I had a banner and a quote underneath the banner, and now 'it' won't let me put another banner up. Any help (baby steps) will be appreciated.

Thanks Shortstuff, I did what you said and removed the quote and it tells me it's an Invalid File.....

P.S. I just tried again and now it tells me I have 2 images and need to get rid of one. Does my Avatar count as one image? How come others can have an Avatar and a banner too but I can't. Waaaa......

As you can see, it prints in the message below but for some reason I cannot make it part of my banner

here is the code:

[/URL]

and this is the entire code line from the generator.

I have tried all kinds of combinations of this to no avail and I am frustrated and its a cool generator so I'd like to use it

and the other one I tried a couple things but I couldn't tell what was what with this as follows:
<a href="sig.vapornine.com"><img src="customSig.php?id=790" width="400px"/></a>

and I think one is BB and one is html...

and in a separate letter....I was offered help:

No problem always glad to help. You need to go to USER CP and then click on Edit Signature. You then paste the following link into Option 1 http://sig.vapornine.com/customSig.php?id=790 and then click Save signature. You then need to click on "Insert Signature picture" and then on save signature again. You should be OK to go now :)

But I was not and thus my re-reply:

I tried that before and just tried it now and all I get is 'invalid file' every freaking time I try either save signature or even trying to 'upload' which I know isn't correct -- what really burns me up is that it appears in the message, good as gold, with a [/URL] after it -- wtf is going on? I truly am clueless when it comes to most computer .... so I have no idea why it doesn't work. Sigh......

The code is faulty. I explained why in your other thread.

I have tried all kinds of combinations of this to no avail and I am frustrated and its a cool generator so I'd like to use it.

Poof... I fixed it for you.

and the other one I tried a couple things but I couldn't tell what was what with this as follows:
<a href="sig.vapornine.com"><img src="customSig.php?id=790" width="400px"/></a>

That is HTML code, and won't work here.

I'm not sure why you were given these instructions, since your sig pic is actually just a link to another site, and not an image that you can upload. These stop smoking banners have to pull the data from the site that hosts them. It's exactly like linking to an image offsite (Photobucket, Imageshack, etc.), you don't upload the image here, you just point a link to it. So for these banners, it's just "forum code" text input into the same signature field that you put your other sig text in.

As stated above, these generator sigs are not images that you upload, which is why it didn't work for you.
