I purchased some 5 volt batteries and a charger from a supplier on ECF. My battery charging red lights never go out. I just left the battery on for nine hours. Charging lights were red, and the battery was very hot. I am waiting for the supplier to contact me. But in the meantime I thought I would ask here if you think there is a problem. I tried two different batteries with the same results. They do work for about 4 hours of vaping, but is it safe to use them?

I have two of their chargers. The newest one acts like this and is going back the next time I go to the post office. The light on the wall wart part of it never turns green and the battery gets hot. I have stopped using it. NI-MH cells are fairly safe and each cell is individually vented, so the risk of explosion or fire is minimal, but overcharging batteries is not good for the battery and will reduce the life of the battery greatly.

My other charger from them works normally. After an hour or an hour and a half, the light on the wall wart part turns green, but then you still need to leave the battery on the charger for another 3 to 5 hours to charge it properly. The charger is the weak point in running this custom batt solution.

Mine never turns green and the battery gets hot after 4 hours. I've been using them though and the vape is great. I would like them to turn green when charged fully.

Jason from Electronicstix has stated how they are supposed to work several times in their forum subsection. The light on the wall wart is supposed to turn green and then you're supposed to leave the batt on the charger for at least a couple of hours after that. The ones that never turn green are malfunctioning.

EDIT: there's an update on that. Now they're saying that if the wall wart light never turns green, pull the batt off the charger after 5 hours. I'm still sending one of mine back.
