II have a volcano inferno its my first tank i purchi got The 600 mah & the 900 mah battery and the 4 ml tank with the 1.5 ohm duel coil cartomizer...anyways... I'm vapin all day and the batteries are running dry quickly ...I wanted to get another battery as a backup.... an 1100 battery give me more timeo out of the battery...Im also looing at the Mega Riva 1300 battery.... for extended battery life....as it stands right now if im home all day Im vaping and i have to charge both the batteries during themday and rotate them...... also if i went up to a bigg er tank... i was looking at a smoketec ....are thier cartomizers easy to get anywhere ...the XL ones with the bigger tank........and one other thing i find with this volcano inferno i don't get a deep throat hit it kinda fluffy...airy .....are the batteries the way to go with the tank or are there other options to suggest... do I go with a variable volt batter and can you use those with tanks? many thanks to all your resonses so farits a big help

The easiest thing for you to do is keep the batteries you have now and pitch those 1.5 ohm DUAL coil cartos! That's you whole problem right there! With 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos, your battery is actually heating two 3.0 ohm coils. This is alot of work for such a small battery, and will eventually kill your battery. Your best option, if you like or need the longer cartos is to get some XL SINGLE coil cartos. That way you have the heigth and juice capacity, without sacraficing battery life.

I second Kay's suggestion - try using 2.0 and 1.7 ohm single coils and see how you like them. You will see a significant difference in battery life.

However, more batteries are never a bad thing no matter what. The really experienced vapers here are fond of saying "backups, and backups for your backups". I agree with them!

Welcome to ECF.

Dual coils atty/cartos are like running two atty/cartos off one battery... takes double the work. What happens is that the device either A) can handle it, B) thinks it's a short or c) Can't supply enough amps and the voltage suffers to the point that you're not getting what you want.

Dual coils... 1.5 ohm... that's two 3.0 ohm coils. A three ohm coil doesn't even get up to temp until about 4.8 volts. Now, 4.8 volts at 1.5 ohms is 3.2 amps. Many of the smaller batt e-cigs aren't rated for that.

So. If you insist on dual coils (you may find that once you get VV and/or higher voltages you are just fine with single coils) then check the amp rating of whatever device you are thinking about. You'd want over 3 amps. Many stop at 2.5... even when using IMR high-drain batteries.

Or just stick to the single coils. That's easiest. And at 5 volts, 3.0-3.2 ohm single coil stuff hits like a monster anyway.

Tank systems are just feeding systems for the coil. You can use single coil stuff in em.

Good Luck!

I have just one 650mAh inferno until my ego twist comes in, but it has been lasting me all day. I charge it up at night while asleep and it's fully charged and ready to go the next day. I drip using the Magma 2.0 ohm atty.

It's not a good idea to leave batteries charging over night or unattended.
