I tried AVE's 555 first and loved it so I placed an order for 12ml of 555, Flue Cured, Havana Gold and Boba's. The Boba's is tasting terrible to me, though I like the others. It's burning the back of my throat and tongue to such a degree, I can't taste anything and the sensation lingers for over 10 minutes after just vaping a bit of it. I'm not talking about just throat hit and I vape most of juices at 24mg. Also, it's steeped for 10 days.

I just tried the batch of 555 and that has the same harshness, didn't try it before because I'm still vaping the first 555 I got. Don'[t know if it's because I tried it on the heels of the Boba's or if it also has it.

I plan on trading them for something else, but having heard great things about Boba's, and liking the other 2 flavors, I'm wondering if it's a bad batch or just me. Anyway else had or heard of this?

I'm wondering if it's a bad batch

I've heard this phrase a lot and I think this is an explanation that gets used by other vendors so it has become common terminology. However, I don't use "batches" of juice. Every bottle is made to order from a recipe using set measurements and delivered by electronic pipette. The hardware comes off the shelf the e-juice does not.

I'll let someone other than the salesman (me) answer the rest of your question but the bad batch issue isn't the case. A bad bottle can happen. It isn't likely but I've seen bottles put through havoc in transit that messes a juice up. I always happy to do replacements on juice that come out unsatisfactory by either getting a new bottle out to you or by switching it with a flavor you prefer. Just send it back and we'll get a new bottle out to you as soon as it comes in. My return info in on the website FAQ or just submit a helpdesk ticket and I can e-mail it to you. Your satisfaction comes first. Always a good idea to add name and order number to the return so I can jog the memory when it comes in. I hope this helps!

Hi Ceegary,
Just wanted to throw my two cents in too..
When I first started using AVE juice I also had the burning sensation in my mouth and throat and the flavor just didn't seem to be there for me. It bugged me so bad that I ended up hassling Ben over it for several days because I was concerned that something was wrong. That was 8 months ago or so. Anyway...I'm not sure how it happened but I ended up lowering the nicotine level of my juices that I vape...from 24mg to 18mg....and then about a month or two after that I lowered yet again to 12mg. So besides the possibility of your hardware not being a good match for your juice (sounds silly, but I've found it also to be a reality) it could also your body not needing as much nicotine. I ended up give all my juice to MX and starting over with lower nic. For me it was just plain too much nicotine. Now I get all the flavor, TH, and vapor a girl could ask for. I'm just more aware now of the changing needs of my body. 6mg nic isn't very far away now. :)

Just wanted to give yet another perspective.

Update: Firstly, the reaction I had was worse than I initially realized. The burning in my throat and tongue lasted for hours and I couldn't vape anything until it calmed down. If that was my first vaping experience I'd still be on analogs. If it was from a juice that wasn't highly regarded I would have just tossed them. I haven't been vaping very long but have literally tried well over 100 different juices with no reactions like that.

I often let my juices, especially tobaccos steep a while, but these were 10 days old, though I hadn't shaken them or anything during that time. I used them on clean atties or cartos that I've been vaping all my juices on.. 3.7s on either regular or LR. The regular were less intense obviously. I generally vape 24mg and all my other 24mg juices are fine, even last night after the burning calmed down.

So I gave the bottles vigorous shakes then left them open overnight, to see if that would work and be fair to them. Major improvement! I'm still getting a little burning, but not nearly as intense. I'll probably repeat that again tonight and also let them sleep a few weeks with occasional shaking. I mean.. I want to enjoy them.

Question...I'm suspecting an ingredient in the juice make-up to simulate the throat hit which is usually found in PG juices. Not looking for secret formulas, but is there something added to AVE juices to simulate it, which is causing my reaction?
