I have a provari v2, and am using a vivi nova tank with 2.4 ohm. Volt around 4.2-4.4, 4.5 seems to burn the automizer. I have been ordering cinnamon flavors for some time now. They always tasted great. Now for some reason I get no cinnamon flavor at all. I tried two different suppliers vape dudes and provape pro juice red hot cinnamon. It's not that it tasts bad oily, or burn't. There just seems to be no flavor. Lots of vapor tons of it. No throat hit either. Normally use 80/20, but have tried 50/50 no change. 24mg nic and have tried it at 18mg.
I feel it is something I am doing wrong. i have had these batteries about 7 months, they still hold a decent charge 3.9 to 4.1 off the charger. Last all day. don't know if that could be it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sorry, missed that part. I usually get very clean heads by simply rinsing in hot water and patting everything dry with a q-tip and paper towel. Do a dry burn until the wick material between the coils is white, reassemble, fill with juice, then I'm good to go. Takes about 5 minutes. Check out PBusardo's channel on youtube. He's got some very well done videos explaining how to clean the nova in this fashion.

Thanks for the replies. I actually have tried it using new heads. I think I'll have to do a good clean maybe. So as I understand I can clean the atomizers and the wicks in warm water? Then dry burn, won't that burn the wick? Guess I am still a newb. I just keep buying new automizers. Ill check that thread out. As far as other flavors I have black honey and blue honey. From vaped uses they both give a slight bubblegum taste that's about it.

This is one of my mysteries too. My first juice was a jolly rancher type watermelon... everyone I let taste agreed. Then the same juice lost its jolly rancher part and tasted like fresh watermelon to me. Now I can't taste watermelon at all from 5 different juice vendors and two flavoring ones. The only thing I haven't tried is an actual watermelon to see if I can taste that.

I've had similar with cinnamon. I loved cinnamon bun juice but it started making my tongue sore so I quit it but Thanksgiving came a week later and the pumpkin pie and bread were almost tasteless to me as I couldn't taste the cinnamon. They were my own recipes so I know how much was in there and they way always tasted before. As of Christmas, and recipes with it I still can't taste cinnamon like I used to.

I've speculated that this might be one of the reasons taste is so subjective as depending on what we've vaped a lot we can't taste what others who haven't do.

A couple of thoughts from an experienced vapor.

If you are a relatively new vapor (less than 2 months), your taste buds are still healing from years of smoking. Your preference in flavors will change for up to six months. Even having the ability to distinguish different flavors may be altered during this period.

I suggest drinking plenty of water while you vape. Vaping does dehydrate you and cause dry mouth, which can affect taste. Also exhale some of your vapor through your nose. Our sense of taste is strongly associated with our sense of smell. This can be demonstrated if you can remember how food can taste bland when we have a head cold with our nose all stopped up. In this instance, our nose is not able to assist our tongue in "tasting" flavors. Also, vaping the same flavor can cause flavor saturation to our taste buds, especially the stronger flavors such as cinnamon, mints, and menthols.

Also be aware that the vivi nova clearomizer tanks can mute certain flavors. You may want to try a cartomizer tank for better flavor production with your juices.

Also a warning about juice carrying devices that use the clear plastic "polycarbonate" in their tank tubing (which the vivi nova uses). Cinnamon and other flavors such as citris flavors can degrade the plastic, causing it to crack, leach chemicals into the juice, or even cause it to literally melt. Devices that are safe to use with these flavors are pyrex, polypropylene plastic (the frosted kind), or stainless steel cartotanks. Some vendors sell a metal tube for the vivi nova.

The following link has an updated list of currently known flavors/juices that are known to degrade polycarbonate:

That is a great point. I wouldn't suggest doing this, but if you hadn't smoked in a while then took a drag from a cigarette it would taste entirely different than it used to when you were a smoker. Partly because smoking affects your taste buds, but also because you are so used to the flavor. You wouldn't want to eat mac and cheese everyday either. After a while you'd get sick of the taste.

Makes sense, I think I agree with the saturation theory. I been vaping solid about 9 months. 90% of that e liquid was cinnamon. I guess I'll search around for some different flavor. A question if you know the answer. I came across a setup that runs two cartomizers at the same time into one tip. Think that would give a big hit?

For sure. You could spend hundreds on equipment to give you a bigger hit, but it takes a lot of trial and error (which I am in the middle of) to find the right conditions for the perfect blend of flavor, vapor, and throat hit. I love my two novas, but I also get a little more flavor from my sister's standard ego kit carto. There's a give and take to every system. Cartos taste great but can be finicky about having the right amount of juice in them. Tanks are great for big hits and capacity, but they can be huge. Good luck and good hunting.
