Ok, so I've had this problem for a while now, and have been tinkering with it in hopes of finding a solution. I have completely run out of ideas, so I'm asking for your opinions.
I have an old clearo that came with the very first starter kit I bought when I started vaping. Quite obviously a T3 clone. I bought a few replacement coils for it at the time (they were T3 coils with the "short" chimney stem. Now when I try to get coils for it, the "new" T3 coils won't fit because the chimney stem is too fat to slide into the center tube of my tank. A person at my local B&M (a really good shop, by the way) told me that the "old" style EVOD coils would work, and she had a few and sold them to me cheap. They fit perfectly, however, the bottom post of the coil seems just a tad bit too long. The tank will not screw all the way down on the battery before making contact, leaving the tank very wobbly and not properly attached. I have other tanks, this would not be a big deal, but I LOVE this freakin' tank!
On a similar note, my wife has an EVOD clone, seems well-made enough, but when I replaced the coil with a genuine Kangertech coil, once again the bottom post of the coil was a tad bit too long, not allowing the tank to completely thread onto the battery, leaving it loose and wobbly. So my question is, what is the deal with the bottom posts of these coils??? Am I doing something wrong, am I missing something, or am I just screwed?
