Okay, so I literally decided to quit yesterday! Well, I say. quit. More like, switch to e-cigs as I've smoked for 4 years so addiction to nicotine is pretty bad. But atleast I'm not smoking all those harmful chemicals now.

Anyway, I've had a few problems with my e-cig. The one which is bothering me the most, is almost as though my e-cig needs a warm up?

It can take nearly 10 minutes to 'warm up' my e-cig up to the point where it doesn't feel like it's choking me with god knows what. Very limited vapour, and feels like pure nicotine just hitting my throat, and then choking me as I exhale. After nearly 10 minutes, it becomes as smooth as anything and I don't have a problem. The thing is, I don't exactly look forward to the 10 minute 'warm up' period which, as an addition to the horrible experience, is also causing me to use it more than I probably would without this problem.

I wouldn't say it's a cheap "knock off" nor is it a luxury version. Just a cheap e-cig from the co-op with original tobacco liquid. Any ideas what it might be? I understand I'll be adjusting to it, but it feels like its more than that? I'm not sure.

OK, can you hang in here for a moment?

Cirro (10 Motives) is high PG liquid. 18mg is pretty strong for a 'proper' e-cig.

e-cigs don't warm up, but the user can get used to them, sure. I wouldn't have been able to vape 18mg in an "eGo" e-cig without some considerable discomfort. I started on E-Lites (24mg) but they didn't make much vapour. (They didn't work either...)

Do you think you might need 18mg? How many smokes were you on?

I've had it since yesterday and been using it since I got it, it does it every time. If I leave it over half an hour before starting to vape again, it starts doing this again & Inverting the tank? I'm not e-cig savvy, what so ever.
I don't know if this helps...

My first CE4 clearomiser (clear plastic tank) was a 'stardust' one. It was unvapable even after 48 hours, as I'd more or less burnt out the coil. It's a downside of an otherwise proven system.

I looked at a picture and I started on vape with something similar...it lasted a week, then I upgraded. A week later I upgraded again... then I found ECF and upgraded to the Nautilus Mini. I have these links which may help you shop :

You don't need the best to quit, but having better than the beginner gear can make a huge difference in success. Good luck in your vape journey.

Anywhere between 10-20 roll ups a day D:
Oh... same as me. I was on the Amber leaf or GV.

18mg is a sensible 'dose' for the first wee while. I suspect either your tank is drying out (and the sucking on it is improving the juice flow) or you just have a few teething troubles.
Certainly, if you leave a top coil and let the liquid settle, the wick might become very dry.. that could explain a lot.

Are you a shop kind of person, or happy to get online?

A bottom coil clearomiser is different (and better) really. If you can bear to get another tank, you could try a different one. They don't tend to dry out or give nasty 'hits'.

Thank you for clearing that up a bit for me. To be quite honest with you, money is very tight right now so shopping around would have to wait until the end of the month, but it certainly sounds like its worth looking into. Is there anything I can do to stop the wick from becoming dry? (Which ever bit that is, anyway! It all just looks confusing! haha)
