Problem with Provari Mini and Kanger pro tanks

I just bought a Provari mini last week after saving up for one. Good thing too because the button on my VMax Smok just died.
Anyway, I am having problems with my beloved Kanger pro tanks on it. If I screw them down tight I cant get a draw at all - no air. If I unscrew the tank a little off of the Provari I can usually make it work, but sometimes I have to fiddle with every darn threaded fitting on the kanger to make it work.
1) This happens with both the original kanger tank and the newest one that comes in pieces
2) The Kangers are fine - they worked on the VMax and on my eGo-C's just fine.

Whats going on? Do I have a bad Provari Mini? Is there something Im missing that would fix this? Its incredibly frustrating. In my searches all Ive found is this strange add on disk you put between the head and the base, but it just sounds like more fiddling and some of the reviews werent very good - plus it looks likes its for thin hits. Thats not my problem - with the tank screwed down fully on the base, I can NOT draw.

I was having issues like this with my mini pro tank. Took it to the vape shop and had them widen the airflow holes. Works like a charm now

The Provari doesn't have airflow control. When you screw down a topper with bottom feeding airflow, it cuts it off.

U might have to tighten the coil inside the base of the PT a bit more for better contact.

I know the problem you speak of. It only happens with one of my Protanks on the provari. Check the base and you might see that the treading goes over the air holes. I explained this at the B&M but they said it was the coils. I've switched a coil from one protank to my other functioning protank, and it didn't have air flow troubles.

Sometimes changing the coil helps. Don't ask me how but I don't have this problem with certain coils.
Otherwise just leave the tank slightly loose, but not loose enough to fall off. This is literally what I'm doing right now lol.

You mean grind those little notches on the Provari connection a bit? Can I use a file and would it void my warranty?

I have noticed the exact same thing! Its just super frustrating because the same coil and tank work fine on others but not the Provari. And its all very well and good loosening the tank to get it to work while at home - but I work at sea where this fiddling would end in tears or a tank bounced overboard. I need it to just work!

No issues with Protank 1 or Protank 2 on my ProVaris here.
I use the coils with the old rubber grommet insulator, if you have coils with the silicone insulator, be careful not to tighten it down too much, as they can suffocate all airflow.
Also, on the base of the Protank 2, the air holes are only about half the size of the air holes on the Protank 1, which is also why the draw is slightly tighter. What I did, was I took a 1 mm drill bit and drilled up the holes - be careful if you do this though, there's not a lot of material to work with.
Anyway, with that simple hack, I get the same wonderful airy draw that I got with the Protank 1, even when the Protank 2 is tightened all the way down
Still not sure if I think the 2 is an upgrade to the 1 though
