I have rebuilt about 40 atomizers for high voltage and about 6 of them worked pretty well but didn't last very long before I had to tear it apart again because it quit working. I have the same problems over and over and have really run out of guesses to what the problems are. The first problem is a harsh burned taste. It tastes like I am smoking the wire even though it is drenched with juice. I have tried 32 gauge and 30 gauge using 2 inches, 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches of both gauges still run into that problem often.

I read on another forum that VG based juice doesn't work well in high voltage mods because its to thick and burns up to fast giving the burned taste. Can anyone tell me what they think about that possibility?

The next issue is the f-ing thing works but I can not draw off the thing. It is totally plugged. When I unscrew it from the mod there is all kinds of air passing through it but as soon as you connect it its completely plugged. Makes no sense to me wtf the deal is there. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

To loosen up the draw you can ream out the tiny air holes on the connector a little bit. I just use a 1/16 drill bit and twist it in there with my hand. Just do one side to start off, and if it still too stiff do the other side as well. An alternative to that is sealing them up with a little silicone or solder and drilling a hole in the side like a 901.

As for the bad taste... Are you using kanthal or nichrome wire? A lot of folks complain of a bad taste with kanthal. I have kanthal and i can barely stand the taste until the coil gets a little seasoned, then it's fine and dandy. What wick are you using?. Most people like the bulli wick.

I dremeled the tiny slots on the bottom of the atomizer and that seemed to fix the plugging problem. I am using nichrome wire and some Zippo replacement wicks. I must have to try and use more of the wicks somehow because I bought some of the stuff recommended that I got on E bay and it was quite a bit thicker than the Zippo replacement wicks. I can get the Zippo replacement wicks down the street and ordering the other stuff from E bay took forever.
