So, I recently bought a new battery and decided to use a tank with it. I did do all the steps when filling a tank including priming the carto. But unless I do a dry drag to get liquid into the carto, (before firing) I get a chemical/diesel taste. Is there anyway to fix this?

I haven't vaped to much on it. Does it just need to be broken-in?

Or could it just be the liquid? My stupid self only bought one tank so it would be hard to test this.

It gets a bit better when I decrease the voltage

I recently started using tanks and I found I only had one juice on hand that would actually absorb through the tiny little pin hole in a "pre-punched" carto.

I had to increase the size of the hole before I could get any juice to actually flow into the carto. There's probably a few videos and forum posts on the best way to do this, but just remember not to deform the carto at all or it won't fit back into the tank.

I certainly don't recommend the way that I do it (fine tooth hack saw while holding it on my knee to slot both sides :) )

I use an inexpensive saddle valve...the one I use doesn't deform the cartos and works quite easily...

Saddle valve makes for a great cheap carto punch tool. Or you can buy a "Siam Mods" carto punch from clouds of vapor.
I have experience with both, with a saddle valve, u have to be careful and make sure the carto doesn't move to the side but it does make a louder pop when u punch through
The Siam mods carto punch is nice and small, it won't deform the carto, BUT when it punches thru, it's quieter so u gotta listen real close.

I use mostly 70/30 or 50/50 juices and I always punch 2 holes and NEVER have a dry OR flooded carto
