Mine had the same problem after I dropped it a few too many times. My solution was to get one of those adaptors and use it with the adaptor on all the time. Kind of sucks that the threads are that weak on such an expensive head especially considering when I say I dropped it, I mean it fell flat from just sitting up on a table a few times.

Okay it's called a 510 to 510 shorty adaptor and I got mine for $3 from here: 510 to 510 Sealed Shorty Adapter / Extender | Electronic Cigarette Adapters

It may still not work if your threads are really bad but my tank would literally slide in and out. That's how bad my threads were. I screwed this on somewhat tight so it doesn't come off with each tank I change and it's been working like a charm ever since.

Yes, there is a gap between the head and the tank but it sure beats buying a full replacement.
