I got 2 X9 Protank last Friday and here is my experience.

I love the taste and the hit but mine starts to leak (the liquid formed at the bottom between the battery and the X9 tank). I notice when hear the gurgling sound I know it's all over and next draw has very little vapor and I can taste the fluid so I have to unscrew the battery and clean all the fluid. I'm having a horrible taste in my mouth right now after I sucked in the fluid from the last draw.

Did I do something wrong? Or I just got a defective unit?

I'm having the somewhat of the same issue. I am using 50/50 24 mg on an ego twist or vamo set at 4.0-4.2 volts. Great for about 10-15 hits. Then it gets very tight and vapor drops off. I have tried three new coils and rebuilt 2. Same thing. And If it sits more than about 10-15 minutes gurgles and spits. I have turned up the heat to 5.0 volts, the draw gets better but as soon as it sits, tight and gurgles again. I'm at a loss

Pop the pipe off the coil, add a thin rolled piece of cotton on top of the flavor wicks. (From Cotton ball)
Install the pipe and try it again.
Wicks are letting fluid leach past and dripping out.

Don't add to much or you can cause poor wicking/dry hits.

Good luck

Don't let the fluid get below 1/4 full. Protons, and most bottom feeders leak when they get lower.

Not always. I vape my T3-mini's and Evods Dry without leaking.

Tried that too, used cotton ball, thick then thin, then tried peaches and cream yarn. One strand, two, three doesn't matter. After it sits it gets very tight. The taste is just awful, hardly any vapor.

Honestly gurgling is not the big issue. Gurgles a little, I can deal with that. The big deal is the tight tight draw, horrible taste and lack of vapor. Nasty nasty harsh taste. The juice i mentioned above and even my beloved bobas, that works so good in my t3's. so i'm gonna try to rebuild another coil with a 16 gauge needle, cotton wick with small cotton flavor wick. I will build it identical to the t3 heads I built that work flawlessly
