So just tonight I bought a Cignature PV-1 Premium Vaporizer and got the peach Cignature e-liquid. I got it working just fine for a few hours. I put it in my pocket at the store and when I got home and I clicked the button it just flashed and wouldn't heat. I thought maybe it was a low battery, but when I plugged it into the USB charger it gave me a green light, signifying it was charged. It's been like this for over 90 minutes now and won't heat when I connect it with the liquid chamber. I read online it could just have overheated and have shut off. Is this what's going on and if so, when can I use it again? Or is it somehow a dead battery and I need to take it back?

Thanks in advance,

Clay

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Looking it up, that is a privately branded eGo battery, probably 650mAh, and a disposable carto. You can try turning it off-- 5 clicks, usually-- and then back on to see if it resets. If that doesn't work, take it back. Could be a bad battery, or maybe a bad charger.

If it can go back, take it back.

You should say "Yes!" to the lifetime warranty, have them change it and then never go back. :)

It is the most NOT premium e-cigarette I have seen in a long, long time.

Count yourself lucky though. I blew $800 on something not even as good as this, which is saying quite a bit about how naive (stupid) I was and how dreadful the 'shark' end of this industry is.

Hello and welcome to the forum @ClayTheScribe. Glad to have you here!:)

+1 on the advise you've been given thus far.

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
Here are a few more links from New Members Information <= Link covers many topics. Here are two of them:
Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

eliquid/Juice

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Many juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

I ended up taking it back and they replaced it with a new battery that's a different color but actually now the thing is silver battery and black cartridge so looks cool, and it works just fine, right now is just charging. They said if I have any problems to hold on the receipt and I can swap it, but if that happens I'll just upgrade and get something better. The guy there did say the battery on these aren't great, but I think this one should hold up. Thanks for the advice everyone!

I plan to shop around and upgrade. Any suggestions?
I often recommend an iStick 30 watt or Coolfire 4 (both mods) with an Aspire Mini Nautillus or eLeaf GS Air M (both tanks). Videos below.

And yeah this one was cheap $30, I wanted to get something low cost as my first vape pen, so I'm not surprised there are issues. I plan to shop around and upgrade. Any suggestions?
There is lots of choice out there. You just got unlucky with another of the many rebranding companies that take well-known products and just go heavy on the prices.

'Pen' e-cigarattes (eGo, or eVod sometimes) are a certain level of hardware between the cig-a-likes and the more advanced 'mods'. Mods used to be a bit scary for new vapers, but they really are the way forward for reliability and performance even if you only tap 10% of the power, or whatever.

I agree with @Susan~S about iSticks and Coolfires, Nautilus and Eleaf tanks. Today, I am using two small box mods (neither of those as it happens, one with an independent battery) but Nautilus and Eleaf tanks. :)
