Hi I'm sort of new to vaping and I recently bought an evic vt after owning a pen for a long time it worked great for a couple weeks then all of a sudden it started acting strange whenever I use wattage instead of temp control it tastes burnt and whenever I use temp control I can only rip it a couple times then I have to take the tank off and put it on again or else it goes into temp protection immediately and I barely get any vapor as the wattage then goes down significantly as well as the temperature anyone have a fix?

Nickel coils cannot be used in Wattage Mode - they're for use in Temperature Mode only. No wonder it tasted like burning lava!

Nickel and Titanium coils are for Temperature Control mode only - Kanthal and NiChrome coils are for using in Power Mode (Wattage) and Stainless Steel coils can be used in both modes.

EDIT - And if you've not ruined your Nickel coil by trying to use it in Power Mode, you want to lock your resistance when the coil is cool and at room temperature so that the mod can measure the resistance change accurately when it heats up when it's fired.

Thanks for the advice man my device is working relatively fine now it has a couple kinks but it's probably because I damaged the coil in wattage mode
