I have settled on my ego twist with an EVOD single coil 1.8 ohms. This setup has worked well for me for quite awhile. However over the last 2-3 months, my EVOD coils ave not been lasting long at all. Previously I could get 2-3 weeks out of coil, with an intermittent wash and dry burn in-between to keep the coil clean. Now Im having trouble getting my coils to last for 5 days and at worst they are lasting 3 days. I have not changed my juice, and I have tried turning down the voltage on my battery. I have tried different vendors and am getting the same results.
I figured I would try the evod glass dual coil, but that coil lasted two days before it became gunned and died, and I never got great performance out of it anyway.

Has anyone else had any issues recently? Im getting kind of frustrated.

I recently bought 25 Evod coils, and have gone through all of them already. Like you, I used to get several weeks per coil, but here lately it's not the same. So...I bought some 32 gauge kanthal, wick, yarn and organic cotton balls, and have started rebuilding my coils.

The result?
I'm still getting less time on my coils than before, so I'm beginning to suspect 'something' might have changed in my vaping 'style'. I dunno...

Has YOUR vaping style evolved a bit over the last few months? (Just curious...)

I have tried rebuilding my own attys on my top coil clearomizer, but never had much success. The rebuilds never seemed to give the same hit or production tht the stock heads did. And I played around with it for awhile.

Where do you buy your rebuild supplies?
I had tried using cotton but didn't like the flavor it produced. I bought some wick online but again i never got the same production

I bought the kanthal and wick on EBAY and the cotton balls from CVS.

So far, I like the flavor cotton imparts best (using Protank2), but I have to change the cotton wick almost daily, which is a pain.

The wick doesn't carry the flavor as well as what came on the stock coil, so I'm still looking for better material. :glare:

However, increasing the flavoring in my DIY does help quite a bit. (TFA and Flavor West are the flavor suppliers I'm currently working through.)

I also wrap my coil 4 times, to yield about 1.8 to 2.1 ohms.
