Hello,

My name is Cole, I've been roughly vaping for over a year now, but I'm still figuring things out each day pertaining to builds. I've been running a reuleaux by jaybo designs dna 200 triple 18650. I've never gone past at least 60 watts. I purchased a Uwell Crown sub ohm tank a few weeks back and have been playing with it. For about a week I had it running quite well and was getting some decent hits off of it, however was getting kind of a hard hit/ burnt taste. I took it apart to look at the dual coil that came with it and nothing was burnt and the cotton still looked fresh. Anyways I decided to go ahead and replace the coil with the other one that came with it (Dual Coil .25 Ohms). I'm still getting the same issue, more hot hit, not getting much flavor with the juice. I've been running around 50 watts and nothing is really changing. I'm also using The Milk Man One Hit Wonder juice at 80/20 VGPG at 3mg. So I guess my question is, what is the better way to get more flavor without that little burn taste? Do I need to try different coils? Different juice? Higher or Lower wattage? I've also properly primed the coils both times. Any help is appreciated, thanks! :)

Hi Cole, welcome to the forum.
Congrats on your journey.
The device you have is very advanced and my advice is:
#1: Upgrade the firmware
#2: Download the escribe software for the device and install it on your computer. This software will allow you to personalize the device to your preferences.
This is an important step when using the DNA 200 chipset.
Vape On!

so..................
are you maybe using coils intended for temperature control, in wattage mode?

what have you been vaping for the last year?
do those coils have a recommended wattage range printed on them?

80vg 20pg is a very thick juice

Your wick will have problems keeping up with your vaping.

On premade coils I would not vape high VG juices. Many premade coils have cotton really crammed in the wick and have serious issues wicking thick juices.

I vape 70/30 and 80/20 juices all the time but I use RTAs and wicked to handle my high VG juices.

I would not go higher than 60% VG on.premade coils.
