I'm pretty sure you answered your own question in your first post, or at least gave us the relevant clue. Max vg is always difficult for a subtank to wick, it does much better with 30/70 or 50/50 pg/vg. Also the rule of thumb for wicking a subtank rba is 'less is better'...you want just enough cotton to prevent leaking, and no more. Usually that means just barely bring the cotton to the juice holes on the chimney. Hope that helps, good luck.

Hi guys. Sorry for the late update. I have been taking my time to deliberate on what and how I was to say. I have some bad news unfortunately. I do however have some good as well. I'll start off with the bad..

Bad: I've got :censored: vapour's tongue. Dear lord, this causing me so much grief. In addition, whilst I was waiting on new cotton I did regretfully relapse to analogues for a few days. I had some interesting and mixed results after my 1 month hiatus. I won't go on about my revisit to analogues, but I'll be happy to share if you ask. In summary, I did not enjoy it as I used to. I suppose it shouldn't come at a surprise that my taste buds are struggling from being showered with a variety of delicious flavours after the bombardment of toxic chemicals over a 14 year period.

Good: I'm back on the vape :) I received new hardware and rebuilding supplies, including new coils and cotton, in the post on Monday. The first thing I did was change the coil and wick. I followed PBSardo's Youtube video to the T and wrapped myself a 1.3 ohm coil using 28AWG Kanthal A1. This was the same video which initially helped me choose my device. The coil works and I am stoked as it was my first time and that I got it right. And I did it without the aid of any coiling rig. I'm happy to report that even though I can not taste any flavours, I no longer feel sick. I've obviously done some reading and I'm keeping myself hydrated and using juices I wasn't a fan of. The smelling of coffee beans does not help me :(

Conclusion: I'm sure there is nothing wrong with my hardware and juice, just me. I still think the old cotton is done for as I'm not getting the sickening buzz. I'll stick to vaping exclusively and hope my taste buds will recover. Its just a shame because I finally made the transition and I was falling in love with vaping. I'm concretely invested in this as I now have about 730mls of e-liquids (12 different flavours I think), 3 tanks, 3 wv mods, a coil master diy kit, wires and cotton. A few other items, Coil Master 521 Tab and Koh gen do cotton, are still in transit to me. I have certainly gone and splurged a lot of money but I fully intend to stick with my new lifestyle choice and as soon as my tongue heals I'm sure I'll begin to start enjoying it all over again.

As always, thank you for listening. You guys are awesome!

P.S. I haven't unboxed my new mods and tanks yet. I look forward to doing it soon but with my current condition it may be waste.

Hang onto the ones you like today because your tongue will change over a short period of time. What you like this week might change next week. If after a month or so it still sucks, give it to a friend to try. lol
Congrats on day 11. 1 day at a time!!!!!
Thank you very much. Well the juices I'm vaping right now I considered to be bad... not my thing 2-3 weeks ago. I have no way of telling if I'm vaping something better than before as they have been steeping hehe. Time for some more water, cheers :toast:

LOL

Well I haven't done any DIY juices as of yet, but I look forward to sometime in the near future. Believe me, to live in Australia and source juices from USA is not a cheap affair.

Over the past month I have spent more than AUD$1000 already on hardware and e-liquids. I don't quite know if I should be ashamed or not, but heck it's a great incentive to stay away from cigarettes. This vaper's tongue has also resolidified my resolution.

Once your tastebuds come back from vacation, try revisiting those flavors that you did not care for at first. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that they have improved with a little steep time.

If you are still not crazy about them, or they are unvapeable for you, I have had some success with adding some vanilla or vanilla custard eliquid, in the same nicotine and pg/vg ratios. I have managed to salvage a few eliquids that I did not care for this way.

Thanks for the great tips. There were 4 15ml bottle juices I did not like; however, they have been steeping for 4 weeks. I have already vaped one bottle away. I hope my taste buds do recover before I waste them all.
