I recently purchased a new atty from the retailer I bought my starter kit from. The new atty produced great vapor but had a horrible, metallic taste and did make me feel a little ill. I did clean the primer out prior to first use but figured I had not got it all out. I blew air through the battery contact side, flushed with alcohol and puffed VG to try to get rid it. Nothing worked so I returned the atty and was given a new one. The new works just like the previous. It is a shame because if it weren't for the flavor it would be great, has a smooth draw and clouds of vapor. When I was dry burning it, I noticed that the heating coil burns very bright, like a light bulb that was just turned off. None of my other attys burned that bright. I don't think primer is the problem so could it be overheating? Even dripping 36mg RY4 in decent quantities can not mask that taste.
