Problems with Passthru for the KR808D

Is anyone else having a problem with the pt lasting? I have gone thru 4 in about 7 months. My first one with V4L lasted about 2 months then they replaced it free which that one lasted about a month. I then ordered one of their newer ones and it lasted about a month. I then ordered one from a different company and it was the older type and it lasted about 6 weeks, stopping today. Now I use it alot (as work from home) but still should they not last longer than this?

This is one of the reasons I don't use PTs much. The quality seems to lack on them.

I had a KR8 PT from Cigeasy and it took a crap on me after a month too.

I'm pretty sure it was the switch that shorted out. If you tear a KR808 passthru apart you'll see that the switches aren't anything special. They probably cost about 2 cents a piece.

I am having the same issue. I had one from HG that went out 2 days ago (lasted 2 months to the day). In the interim, I ordered a couple more (I never use one of anything when it comes to ecigs). I really expected better longevity from something that is basically wires and a switch. I may just go ahead and build a HV box mod. The 3.7 nicostick I built 6 months ago has never let me down.

You all have much better luck than me. I bought 3 auto passthroughs the end of the April. The last one just died yesterday, So 3 in 2 weeks dead. I went today for my backup manual passthrough and now its dead. I do use a passthrough a lot but still. One was an kr808 and the other were 901s.
So after tearing my hair out fiddling with the bunch of dead ones I have I went out and bought my first pack of cigs in over 6 months. At least I can just use them. Argh!8-o

What I found with the KR808D PT was that I could only use it with a separate USB plug and not on my computer. They kept dying after just a few puffs and messing with my motherboard. So now I have a USB plugged into an outlet and the PT works fine.
