I'm fairly new and have seen a few posts about problems with suppliers. What would you do?

I have for the most part been tring to cooperate with suppliers. But as of resent I have had some problems.

1) One supplier had me return an atomizer for warrenty. But it has not been returned to me in a timely manner.

Now the supplier is out of stock on his web site, so I will give him some time to work this out. I think it will, but that supplier is always stating on this form that he takes care of problems and ships so fast. Not what I have seen on more then one order.

2) Another supplier has an order that can not seem to get out of china. (by the tracking number) Ordered on the 26th of April. I know others on here that have ordered from this supplier and have recieved order in about 6 to 8 days. In fact, I have recieved orders from him in 6 days myself.

I have sent emails but get no reponse from him. I hope he will find this order or replace it ASAP.

I do Not what to air supplier problems on the forum, and have not named the suppliers. Both have a good rep here on the forum.

I'm only looking for advice from some of the long time members.
What would you do? ......... Any one have any ideas?

Keep in touch with them, and you should expect them to reply to communication too. I feel that 28 days is a reasonable time to wait, before you could reasonably ask for a refund.

Pick up the phone if they have a number, otherwise if they just aren't communicating, claim your money back with your card provider or PayPal.

Stock is hard to get at the moment, but there is no excuse for not responding to customers.

You are nicer than I- I would out them because I would want someone to tell me who is having problems and who isn't.
Have you paid with paypal? If so, you can get your money back.
I am understanding to a point- but sometimes you have to stop making excuses for them.

Under normal circumstances, you would deal with a supplier directly. ECF, thoug, opens another avenue of recourse when a supporter/supplier starts a forum for their online store. While it would be great that all problems are solved between customer and retailer, that is not always the case. In unusual circumstances, I would consider posting to the supplier forum if I was not getting the customer service I expected. Some claims are bogus, but some are not. Perhaps our suppliers will learn from the ugly threads of the past and take care of problems immediately.

For me, VaporGuys, JantyUSA and Vapor4Life have exhibited superior after sale customer service.
