I bought a Lea Innokin to use when I'm out. I love that it looks like a pen in you r pocket. When it works it awesome but I run through attys like mad! After abt a wk of use the atty starts sucking the juice rt out. I can put on a tank and watch the juice disappear! I have cleaned them properly. I always blow them out between uses etc. Has anyone had this same problem and does any one have a solution??:?:

Its the wick running up through the tube from the atty. Seems there was a bad lot of attys. When the wick fails you can watch the juice disappear out of the tank. Floods the atty and runs out the bottom to the battery. Really sucks!! Try ordering some new attys. I got some from White Stag so far so good with these attys..........

The tanks are good. I tried brand new ones when it first happened b/c I thought that was the prob.

I did order some new ones from white Stag and the 1st did the same thing and is still full of wick in the tube but the last on is still ok. On the first ones the wick disappeard on 1 but not the other and they both flooded. It's just crazy! It must just be like everything alse and b/c it's me LOL. I have that luck!

Thx guys!

I just ordered a new atty for my LEA, and I can assure you it is the same atty as the original, with the same wicking problem. They all work well for about a week or two, then people give up on them. Whether or not they are re-designed now, or they aren't, the system needed much more refinement before ever hitting the production line.

If you're sick of messin with it, just cut your losses and throw a LR 510 cartomizer onto it. Use it as a grab/go battery with a nifty on/off switch. Unfortunately the cap won't fit anymore, but at least it finally produces vapor w/out the headache.

The LEA could have been amazing, but instead, it became an overpriced battery mod for me. Overall, it's small and discreet, and I like knowing my battery status at all times, so mating it to the LR carto hasn't been all bad.

Hi,

i'm using Lea since nearly 2 month now and never had these troubles with the attys. When there is getting less vapor after a couple of days i just put them into alcohol for cleaning overnight. Thats all.
Maybe there is a bad lot of attys around and a change of the supplier with help to get attys of another production batch?

Anythings possible, but after all the nuisance this thing has been for me, I just use it as a battery for a carto, something it does great. Don't think I'm willing to re-invest in another LEA atty to try getting it working correctly again. I've reached my maximum level of frustration.

I agree! I bought from 2 diff supplier. The last one said they were newly improved and I do notice more wicking material in the tube but still doing the same thing one one of them. I have had better luck with the 4th one. I am terribly afraid to clean it though! The 1st one I cleaned started the juice eating after I cleaned it with hot water. I am so bummed b/c the only reason I bought this was for my going out pv. I wanted the pen cap b/c it looks like a pen and is safely covered in my pocket and disguised. When the juice eating happened first I thought I'd just put a carto on it and cap it but NOOOO the cap will not stay on w/out the atty  . WHATEVER! That makes no sense to me!! They couldn't make the rim on the battery a bit bigger to catch the cap! oops went on a tangent ...

I got the new improved ones and it happened on 1 of 2 of them as well. I tried cleaning w/ hot water and that caused the first atty to eat juice. I tried alcohol on the second one after that happened and the same .... Glad you are having good luck :)!! When my last one dies from natural causes it will prob be my last one. I love the battery but without the cap it's not a good "go out" pv. Unless ... someone figures out how to fix the attys so they dont eat juice which is what I'm hoping for!

I have a fix to get the cap to work with a carto. In fact, I just got it to work about 4 minutes ago...

I'll post it once I figure out how to post pics. (I'm new here, and posting on an iPhone.)

you think you could describe how you got the cap to fit while you wait to figure out how to post the pics? i'm curious. i was thinking an o ring or washer type deal might work...

I went ahead and snatched a cheap pen grip off this Pilot Precision Gel 07 - while it doesn't click in place, it does wedge itself in there tightly, and the cap doesn't fall off easily. Not easily at all. Wet the carto to slide the grip on, trim the excess, then once it dries, within a few hours, it won't get stuck in the cap when you pull it out.

I'm sure lots of different grips would work after you trip them with a scissor.
