Just replaced the Tenegry RCR123A batteries in my vintage Prodigy V3.1 and I cannot screw down the bottom cap anymore without the it firing on it's own constantly :(
I took out the this washer underneath the screw holding the bottom firing assembly and now I'm at a loss on how to create more space stopping it from hitting the contact screw . The old batteries show a heavy indent from years of being pushed that I had to add the factory supplied washer. Puresmoker is no longer business so I didn't really know who to ask or what direction to go from here.

Any help ideas suggestions experience would be greatly appreciated :2c:

Have you tried to adjust the pin at the top that makes contact with the atty? Everytime I have a mod auto firing it is because the battery is touching the atty pin and battery. The fact that the cap won't go on is what leads me to this

Just got back from vacation and it's great to see so many responses of people willing to help me out. Thank You

Sthur
thanks for posting those links it helps as I saw from first one a post #4 has a link about stacked battery dangers and I was unaware of these. Now that freaks me out to find out about stacked dangers. I've been using this for years like this.
The sorta good news is I used the exact same model & manufacturer batteries sent from puresmoker originally and they were drop ship from Tenegry directly.

catchjeff & realsis
I always thought it was a solid contact & it looks like it has and adjustable post.

Now My New Question:confused: Has anyone heard of Tenergy Lifepo4 RCR123A (3.0V 750mah) have any cases of blowing up in 2 battery ecigs or do they just stop working(burn out)?

Maybe that's the reason this was the only battery they recommended and sold for this model. Only been able to find on Amazondotcom "Never explode or catch fire" it's really not the only source I want to use for safety. Top it off this is my only mod and I'll need to order new batteries and charger to switch to 3.7v and now I'm paranoid to use this.
