No, there shouldn't be. The resistor can handle it ... Atty's will take the brunt of the damage ...

Unloaded ... Looking at about 8 - 8.5v ... Loaded, probably around the 6.5v range ...

Thanks for the response. So using two of these would definitely push it beyond the "sweet spot" of 5 volts?

I have a number of these batteries around. So I guess I would use these only as a back up/emergency.

Edit/Question: Steve, do you think this might be a good way once a week to "burn" the build up off the attys?

I've used 3.6 volt batteries in my Prodigy with and without the resistor switch with the 801 atty from bestecig.com. Works great and you get a wowza hit!

I must be doing something right what with all these people saying the higher volts are not good for these attys.

I've yet to pop an 801 or 510 atty using them on these higher volts. The 901 attys are a bit finicky though.

Hey, mamu,

I just tried it based on your recommendation and you are right, what a hit with the 801. I don't have to hold the button down as long, either. Thanks for chiming in.:)

You're very welcome!!

Truth be told, I never liked the 801 atty - too light and airy of a draw.

I didn't like it at 5 volts either.

But when you get to 6 and 7 volts with the 801 atty - it's a perfect draw for me.

And as you see, you only need a 3 or 4 second draw to get a mouthful of vapor and an awesome hit.

I press the button for 2 or 3 seconds while taking a drag. Then I let go of the button and continue dragging for 1 more second. Then I inhale. Absolute vaping heaven!
