i think you posted some specs somewhere in that 400 post opening thread, but would you be kind enough to post them again? :)

after seeing the video i realize it won't fit in any of my old cig tins, didn't think it would anyway though.

but...now i need to look at what i could use to transport it, other than my pocket!

the battery sizes i think i can live without, those should be easy enough to find on the random battery sites. i'm really just looking for what the housing size is, even within 2mm or so, if you don't have the EXACT specs.

and...i know i'm asking favors here, but if you have the size of the adapter (901) and the bottom battery cap, that would rock too. and, then, the housing without those 2 things attached :) just in case it might fit in something without the pieces being attached, though i'm thinking it may not make a difference.

well, it's a START!! ;)

i'll be brainstorming on something to use though.

one thing i'm thinking at least, is one of the average sized Altoids cases will probably work well for 3ml bottles. with this beast, instead of carrying all the spare crap with it, i think the focus will be on juice, so that's one advantage.

and oh yes, i will be (nervously) using this thing in public. :)

ok you sparked a thought already.

i have a jumpdrive case from wally world, it holds 6. i'm too lazy to find the link, i've posted it in other case mod threads though.

with these dimensions:

Length (Including Adapter/No Atomizer)
4.38" -- 111.252 mm
Width
.88" -- 22.352 mm

this case is barely big enough, it's right about 115mm worth of foam, which should be enough, though i could get a couple more mm's in there but it would be crammed and may not zip. so at 111.252mm i should have just enough room on top and bottom to cut out a space for it.

so lengthwise, it's good.

now, at 22.352mm wide, it's roughly under (sorry to change back to US measurements!) 1" and i have 2 x 1/2in pieces of foam, so there would have to be a cut in the bottom and top pieces, but that bad boy should fit just fine! that still leaves quite a bit of room for some 3ml bottles and some atomizers and carts.

and here's a pic of the whole thing, that's an assembled 901 sitting on it for visual dimension of size.

the one thing i don't like about this case though, at about 5.25" x 3.75" x 1", it won't fit in a pocket, really, unless you're in cargo pants with big pockets. i'm certainly going to have to watch for something a little more pocket sized, but i think this will do just fine for storage and travel :)

i guess i have a few weeks to research though!

I'm thinking something along the lines of this CO-80 MiniFlashlite & LG Multitool Pouch for times when a belt pouch is appropriate. I don't know whether the Prodigy would slip right through that model, but I like the idea of the attached pouch for juice and spares.

Lots of companies have closed bottom flashlight pouches with top flaps, but none of them seem to include the measurements, just which flashlight models will fit. I won't start looking up the dimensions of various flashlights until I know the length of my Prodigy with an atomizer and cart attached!

You all are braver than I am. After seeing the video, I will definitely have to use the Prodigy discreetly.

I was down your way all evening Flitzanu. Bartlesville to Claremore is NOT the 10 minute drive I was led to believe it was.

Still looking at this eBags UK - Luggage, handbags, backpacks, etc. or this eBags UK - Luggage, handbags, backpacks, etc..

Zippered stash pockets in back for juice, carts, atomizers. Prodigy up front or Kensington if using a passthrough. I'm thinking you could even leave the Prodigy assembled with the atomizer out the top of the front flap. Belt clips and muted colors for guys. Animal prints. No modding required. Anybody tried one of these for their e-cig gear?

I use my SD in public all the time. But then again, anyone who 'knows' me knows I don't really care what other people think about me.

Here's what I use to carry my SD. The atomizer sticks through the hole in the bottom. I believe the Prodigy will fit as well, since there's room to spare with the SD:

It also has a couple of side compartments that are perfect for carrying spare attys.

This is worn on the belt, obviously... or not.

Hey steve Ill tell you what if you come out with your own atomizers you can count me in as a customer. Are you going sell extra batteries that would be great. Also what about cash juice. this thing would be pointless with out it. And knowing about the FDA and there plans to possibly ban e-smoking how will we get our nic fix. Dont get wrong I love the new mod but what will be the point without the juice? I mean to go through the trouble of extracting nicotine from tabacco is extremly dangerous. I might as well buy a portable vaporizer and vape tabacco. And everyone Im just being real. I love puresmoker...Ive got the pilot which is still kicking great vapor. I just want to know the in and outs. All I want to know is....are you going to have your own atomizer, batteries, and ejuice with the new mod. :?

Hey MMM!

There is a very fine line I will/will not cross when it comes to product announcements. Both involve juice and our own atomizers ...

We already carry the necessary batteries and chargers for the Prodigy, check out the Prodigy Link on our home page. As far as the atomizers and juice ... yes, there are plans already underway. Whether an announcement is made tomorrow or a month or so down the road, that's anyone's guess :)

I have a feeling I should have never posted a vid with the original prototype in it ... People get that *image* in their head and think the real thing is that large. The first very much was like a billy club ... haha ... The final is able to be completely concealed in my hand, so I'm not entirely sure what the size issue is!

o well :)

Steve, I appreciate the fact you posted the video. Size wise the Prodigy looks about like what I was expecting. I'm happy with my purchase. The video confirmed for me the ease of adaptability. My need for discretion has absolutely nothing to do with size and everything to do with where I live and the fact I usually have kids in tow.

I was hassled over my Pilot for heaven's sake. Can't say that had anything to do with it's size. I fully intend to use the Prodigy while running around town, I just plan to leave it at home or in the car when I'm at the church picnic. :p

Give it a few years after popularity on the coasts for it to migrate to us here in the backwoods.

On the plus side, we ride bikes most of the summer and I think the Prodigy will fit my bike pump mount. Weathering a flat is always easier for me if my "fix" is handy. ;)

How about a close up photo of yours (the smaller one!!) next to a common object like a CD, a 500ml bottle of water, can of soda, something like that so we can have a better idea of size.

hah, momof3, i'm about 10 mins from Claremore, right there in Catoosa. there's a big casino there, that's about the only thing of mention.

and no, Bartlesville is NOT 10 mins from Claremore by any means!

and i'm at work right now so i don't have the means or time to dig out dimensions, but just at glance, the Prodigy isn't or can't be much longer than an assembled 901, if it's bigger at all.

the diameter, yes, but it's still shy of 1" around, so i'm picturing it about as big as a cigar, if that seems about right?

It was my first solo trip to OK, to the Atwoods in Bartlesville. The directions they gave me to the store in Claremore were "just make a left, at 116th street make another left, then a right at the 4th stoplight, go a couple blocks down and you'll see the store" This was at 7pm, they close at 8pm. A little warning would have been nice so I could have loaded up some carts. That 116th is not drip friendly.

I went through 3 batteries as well on what amounted to a lengthy wild goose chase. Bartlesville confirmed over the phone they had what I needed. They didn't. They called Owasso?? and Claremore and confirmed Claremore had what I needed. Claremore didn't. Needless to say I'm a bit miffed at the employees. Didn't trust them for directions home, I called my neighbors. :p

I'm thinking the Prodigy is going to really come in handy for all my road trips. From the looks of it, it's not going to look much different when I'm using it then when I'm using the 510 with manual batts. I think it might be the platinum that actually sets people off on the whole "OMG is that a cr*ck pipe?" Can't say I've ever seen one, so I don't know.

Will probably pass the V1 off to family in Wichita and order a plain black Prodigy if/when one becomes available. But for now it's a small town and I'll always be an outsider, so always suspect. Last year we set everyone to talking about our bike train which wouldn't have netted a 2nd glance most places. This spring it was my platinum Pilot. Have to space out our scandals for DHs sake.
